Epilogue

15 years later...

Daemon was extremely bored. He hung upside-down on the bunk bed he shared with nobody, thinking that his horns had probably grown completely with the time he had waited. A strand of his green hair got into his face, and he blew it out of the way. School had let out almost five hours ago, but his parents still weren't home yet. 

Guizhong's probably reading some dumb manga... Daemon thought, sitting upright on his bed, ugh, I wanna do something so baaad. An idea formed in his head, though his mother would probably scold him if she found out. But she won't find out, he thought, jumping off his bunk. 

He walked to his sister's room, and knocked on the door. 

"Hey Guizhong," Daemon said, walking in before she could respond, "you wanna go outside so we can beat up some hilichurls?"

"Ugh..." Guizhong groaned, rolling onto her stomach. She was reading some manga, as Daemon had guessed. "don't you have anything better to do in your life? I'm at the most dramatic part in the manga!" 

"No one cares about your stupid manga," Daemon said, kicking a stack of her books. His sister glared at him. "and no, I don't have anything to do." 

"Well I have an idea," Guizhong said, closing up her book, "why don't cosplay as a goat and start bleating? It's perfect because you have horns anyways." 

"Hey! I'm a Qilin, not a goat!" Daemon exclaimed, crossing his arms, "but you probably don't know that because you're so stupid." 

"Why can't you be like Mother? She's so nice, unlike you." she complained. 

"Respect your elders, Guizhong." 

"Whatever, we're basically the same age. Both eleven. Almost twelve." 

"No, I'm older by exactly two hours, fourteen minutes, and twenty-five seconds." 

"Nerd." Guizhong teased, sticking out her tongue at him. 

"Just, come on! The hilichurls are most active at dusk." Daemon said, completely exasperated. 

"Fine...at least I get to put this Hydro Vision to use." she said, getting off her bed. She walked towards her closet and opened it up, grabbing her sword and Yaksha's mask. They were a little dusty from not being used in so long. 

"I'll go get my bow," Daemon said, running into his room. His bow sat in the corner of his room, waiting for him. 

"Are you ready?" Guizhong asked, rolling her eyes. 

"Yup, let's go." 

They walked west, towards Mount. Tianheng. Near the foot of the mountain, they spotted a hilichurl camp. 

"Soo...who's going first..?" Guizhong hesitated. 

"I guess I'll go, because it was my idea." 

"Yeah, it was your stupid idea." 

"I hope you get mauled by the mitachurl." 

Daemon notched an arrow, turning it Electro with his Vision. It pierced a Dendro samachurl, who looked down in confusion. 

"Busha..?" 

The monsters turned, to see the kids standing there. 

"Rawr!" the hilichurls growled, each on digging up a pebble and throwing it at Daemon and Guizhong, who dodged them all. 

"Give it all you've got I guess, because we just made them mad." Guizhong told her brother. She infused her blade with Hydro, slashing through the enemy, and just barely made her way out of the path of a charging mitachurl. 

Daemon continuously shot down hilichurls, and used his skill, which created an Electro explosion. The two were doing pretty well, until the Hydro samachurl started healing the entire camp.  

"We have to kill the samachurl!" Guizhong yelled, dodging a hilichurl that was trying to scratch her. 

"No duh," Daemon said, trying to get a clear shot of the monster. But the samachurl was behind five hilichurls and one mitachurl, so it was extremely hard to shoot him. 

Suddenly, there was a flash of green, and a split second later, the entire camp was dead. 

"What are you doing here, Guizhong, Daemon?" a familiar voice asked. 

"F-father?"
