Their voices rang through the house, Steven and Garnet quickly walked to the beach, not wanting to interrupt this dispute. "WHY ARE YOU SO... SO... CHILDISH?!" Pearl screamed at Amethyst, who was sitting on the counter. "Maybe you're the childish one, P." Amethyst annoyingly looked at Pearl, and frowned, "You're always on my case about something, just lighten up." Pearl scoffed. "Amethyst, you need to act like a Crystal gem. You're gonna get yourself shattered one of these days." Pearl turned to her, angered. "Well maybe you should shut up." Amethyst frowned. "All you do is clean. Like geez, get a life." Amethyst's tone raised, not letting pearl get a word in. "Maybe if you stopped worrying about how I acted, and fixed the way you acted..maybe Rose would've actually loved you instead of Greg. I wish you would just..get out of my life." Amethyst walked into her room, and left pearl standing in the room. Pearl was shocked. She never expected Amethyst to go that far. Talking about rose like that? "Did she really mean that? About her not wanting me in her life?" Pearl thought for a minute, and went to her room, thinking deeply about what Amethyst had said. Meanwhile in Amethyst's room, she was thinking about what she said too. "Why did I say that? I didn't mean anything about that, and then I just left her? I'm so stupid." Amethyst decided to go find Pearl, so she headed towards Pearl's room, and could hear crying. "Oh geez, I made her cry.." Amethyst peaked around a corner, seeing Pearl laying on the water, just crying. "Pearl?" Pearl's head shot up, she instantly wiped her tears. "Oh. Hello, Amethyst." Pearl looked away, sniffling. "I'm sorry Pearl I didn't mean it." Amethyst moved to pearl. "No its..it's fine. I needed to hear that, how else would I find out you don't need me." Pearl turned from Amethyst. Amethyst placed her hand on Pearl, "please Pearl, you know I didn't mean that." Pearl brushed off Amethyst hand. "I clearly don't know that." Pearl turned farther from Amethyst. "You should just go hang out with Garnet and Steven. There no point in trying to convince me it was a lie, cause it's the truth." Pearl turned her head to glance at Amethyst, and could see her tearing up. "Amethyst.. I don't think I meant any of that." Amethyst looked shocked, but moved to Pearl. "What are you—" Amethyst kissed Pearl for a second, before pulling away and disappearing through the water. Pearl blushed, and screamed, "DID SHE JUST KISS ME?!"
Amethyst was running through her room, and hid behind a tall garbage pile. Her face gleamed with blush. "WHY DID I DO THAT?!" Amethyst buried her face into her knees. "Ugh, I'm so stupid. A kiss isn't gonna solve anything, it'll just make things worse." Amethyst perked her head up. "Maybe I should talk to Garnet, she can tell me what to do next."
Garnet was in the kitchen, helping Steven make something, when Amethyst tapped her leg. "Garnet?" Garnet turned to her. "I need advice.." Garnet nodded, "Come to the bubble room with me." As they walked in, Amethyst told Garnet what she had done, and Garnet made sure to listen. "I see." Garnet thought for a moment. "You two need to talk to each other about what happened." Garnet looked at Amethyst. "Okay yeah, that's probably best.." Amethyst thanked Garnet and left, looking for Pearl. "Yo Steven? You seen pearl?" Steven looked at Amethyst. "I saw her outside sitting on a log by the beach, I asked if she was okay and she said she just wanted some alone time to watch the sunset." Steven smiled, "that help?" Amethyst smiled back, "Thanks Steven."
Amethyst walked out onto the beach, and saw Pearl sitting on a log, her head resting on her knees. Amethyst slowly walked behind her, Pearl didn't notice Amethyst's presence there, and began to speak to herself. "This is stupid." Amethyst reached for Pearl's shoulder before hesitating. "I can't believe what happened." Amethyst's hand connected with Pearl's shoulder, "Pearl?" Pearl flinched, "Amethyst?" The wind blew softly as the sun set past the horizon, they stared at each other, as it darkened around them.
