9 pm... (Before the hangout)

I woke up to the delicious smell of waffles being made. I freaking love waffles. One thing i adore about Joyce is whenever i would sleep at their house, she always made me my favorite breakfast to cheer me up. It's usually always the same things, but sometimes she switches it up. I got up, stretched and went to go to the bathroom to brush my teeth. After that, I went downstairs and saw Will and Joyce sitting at the table talking.

"Good morning guys" I say softly. I am still so tired, but I wanted to wake up a little earlier so I can get more clothes from my house while Richard is at work.

"Oh! Good morning, sweetie! I made you some waffles if you want some. Extra crispy too, just how you like them. They are on the kitchen counter. They're still warm too so you don't have to worry about warming them up. Whipped cream and syrup are in the fridge as well." Joyce said, motioning her hand to point to the kitchen.

"Hey Aspen. I didn't know you slept over. When did you come by last night?" Will asked.

"Oh... I came by around 10:30. I'm sure you were asleep. I would have said hi but your door was closed. Figured you were asleep." I said, heading towards the kitchen to fix myself a plate full of yummy waffles.

"Ohh, okay!" He replied.

After I finished my breakfast, I went back upstairs and walked into Jonathan rooms. Low and behold, he was still asleep.

I immediately jumped on him, yelling at him to wake up. "Wake up, sleepyhead!!!!" I yell tackling him in his sleep. I hear him groan and mumble something i cant quite seem to make out.

"Mmm why" he says more clearly.

"Wake up!! Wake up!"

He grabs me and pushes me off, making me fall off the bed. "Ow asshole!" i start laughing even harder.

"I'm the asshole? You're the one that tackled me whilst i was still asleep. Definitely didn't seem like a fair fight." He says as hes rubbing his face as he attempts to wake up.

"Fair enough..." I get up and jump back on his bed. "What should we do today?" I ask while i lay down in his bed.

"Aspen, its too early for this- can we talk about this later?" He starts rubbing his eyes, but he ends up turning over, throwing a blanket over his head.

"Fine. You're lame." I grab another pillow and hit him with it.

"OW!"

I laugh and just leave his room. I go downstairs and tell Joyce that I am going to go to my house to grab some clothes and she offered to go with me but I decided it would be best if I went by myself, in case Richard stayed home. I did not want to cause more issues than there already were if Joyce did come. I told her i would be back soon and headed out the door.

My anxiety rose as I was entering the neighborhood getting closer to my house. I noticed Richard's car wasn't there so he must be at work, thankfully. I did see my mom's car so maybe she's home. I found the spare house key kept under a rock in the far right end of my porch. I unlock the door and walk right in. I start heading towards the bedroom and i hear someone call my name.

"Aspen? Is that you?"

"Mom?" I ask.

"Where were you last night? Richard called me all frantic saying you just walked out of the house. Why do you have to cause such problems?" She asks, genuinely believing whatever it is Richard said.

"Is that what he told you?" I scoff.

"Enough attitude. Why do you have to be so dramatic over everything?"
