The Lightfoots and Bear Merida are outside of the witch's cottage.

Laurel pets the bear princess to comfort her. Bear Merida was pitiful.

The blue skinny elf was puzzling yet anxious. "Mom, how long was Merida a bear?" Ian asked.

Laurel shrugs. She was a making frown face. "I don't know...Probably by the time of the two sunsets..." Laurel answered.

The blue burly elf paces around, pondering over the riddle. Barley was perplexed. "We've been away from home for almost six hours..." he mentioned.

The blue skinny elf checked his watch from his right hand-wrist. Ian set his timer for six hours. The blue skinny elf was glad yet awkward. "Good thing I took the expressway." Ian muttered, hoping Barley didn't hear it from his youngest brother. Ian keeps getting reminded from his elder brother that the expressway is too obvious.

Barley kept whispering the words from the witch. The blue burly elf was on his thinking cap (beanie, just an expression). "Fate be changed...look inside...mend the bond...torn by pride..." Barley whispered.

The bear princess blinks her blue eyes twice. Bear Merida was baffled. The bear princess makes animal noises. She sounded so serious.

The blue burly elf halts his pacing. Barley was confused. "Merida, I only got most of the witch's riddle solved." The blue burly elf added. The bear princess tilted her bear head to her right. Barley gestures out. "Your fate CAN be changed...LOOK INSIDE means see what really matters...I still couldn't figure out the MEND THE BOND part...Although torn by PRIDE is what you're too proud of what you're doing for your own time-being...or someone else's pride..." he explained.

Bear Merida tries again. The bear princess made more animal noises. She sounds like she does meant it.

Barley was sudden. "What do you mean your 'mum have to mend the bond'?" He inquired.

The blue skinny elf was quizzical. "Barley, what is Merida saying just now?" Ian wondered.

The blue burly elf looks at his youngest brother. "Ian, the princess was saying that her mum wrecked the bond. I don't know what it is either." Barley replied.

Laurel patted Bear Merida's bear right shoulder. Laurel was compassionate. "Sweetie, try to tell us what happened before you run away, okay?" She asks politely.

The bear princess nodded her head twice at Laurel. Bear Merida was solemn yet fearless to remember the pain after her fight with her mother. The bear princess makes much more animal noises. She sounded so desperate. Bear Merida sighs afterwards.

The blue burly elf blinked his eyes twice. Barley was bewildered. The blue burly elf extends his both hands. "Before ye left your home kingdom, your mum tears up the tapestry?! Between ye and your mum?!" Barley wonders in exclamation.

The blue skinny elf was astonished. Ian gasps.

The bear princess roared in her reply with confirmation. Bear Merida was sadder. The bear princess sobs. Laurel petted her bear head gently.

The blue skinny elf took his elder brother's right arm. "Barley, we have to get to Dunbroch!" Ian exclaimed.

The blue burly elf looked at his youngest brother. Barley was skeptical. "What?" He asked.

The blue skinny elf was gloomy. "Barley, Merida told you about the tapestry before she ran away. That's what the witch meant by MEND THE BOND. The tapestry is the ONLY way to change the princess back." Ian explains in his answer.

The blue burly elf was more astonished than his youngest brother. "Oh my...! Ian, we gotta hurry!" Barley exclaims.

The Lightfoot brothers faced their blue elf mother in their fears.
