Me, Conrad and Emily ended up having dinner together after all the wedding plans. Conrad said that Emily will be staying in with us until the wedding. That just made me happy because I literally don't have anyone to talk to at home.

It has been a week since we got here in England. Mom and Robert said that Con and I didn't have to find work since Robert is in business. I forcefully told my mom that I was getting bored in the house and that I needed someone to talk to and to keep myself busy. So I went to find a job and it was in a bakery. That's where I met Lacey. She has been there for me when I needed her help - work related or not. We have also been spending a lot of time with each other at my flat. Lacey has a long blonde hair and her body is just perfect. She's very talented and is in to music. Of course, she likes boy bands. She has invited me to go to a party tonight because one of her favorite boy bands is performing.

I took a shower then went to my closet to find something to wear. I ended up wearing a black laced dress that shows a little bit of cleavage. It hits right above my knee and it accentuates my curves pretty well. I can't believe that I'm going to a party. This will be my first time after dad's funeral. I can't even believe that my body is excited for it. I curled my hair and applied light makeup. I changed my purse into a clutch and put in my necessities. I put on some earrings and dad's necklace. I sprayed some perfume and put on my black heels. I had my last glance on my full-length mirror before heading downstairs. Before I reached the stairs, I ended up going to Con's room. His room is almost the same as mine. He told me that after the wedding, he and Emily would have to look for a new house. I peeked through the small opening at the door and Con is on the phone with someone while Emily is sitting by the bed and is browsing at some wedding magazines. I gently knocked at the door and Emily rushed up to me.

"Hey, someone is all dressed up today" Emily teased.

"I'm actually going to a party with Lacey. One of her favorite boy band is performing tonight. She needed some company."

"Oh great!! Con is just on the phone with his friend. I'll just tell him tha- ..." before she could finish, Con walked to the door and said, "Mia, where are you going?"

"I'm going to a party tonight with Lacey. Don't wait up for me okay?"

"Okay, but can I talk to you before you go?" I nodded and he closed his bedroom door.

"Mia, I don't know if I'm supposed to be the one telling you this but please ... be careful..."

"Con, I know...thank you for protecting me all the time...I will be alright. Lacey will be with me. You have my number right?"

"Yes. How about you? My number shou-"

"should always be in your emergency contact...I have it...now can I go now, before I get late"

"Of course...please don't hesitate to call me when you need me." I nodded and

hugged him tightly. I'm so blessed to have a brother like Conrad. Emily is so lucky to have him in her life.

I told mom and Robert that I'll be out for tonight and told them that they don't have to wait for me. I have spare keys in case I will be out late, which in fact will surely happen.

I slide in my car and drove to Lacey's flat. She's wearing a white laced dress, just like mine. When she saw me, her face went blank. "Seriously, way to ruin the moment, Mia..."she exclaimed while hugging me. "I didn't know, okay. This was the first that came into my mind and then I just slide them on" "Okay, enough now...let's go before we be late" she says as she slides on the passenger seat.
