Chapter 16

Eugene and Matt arrive at Keith and Becky's, Matt confused and Eugene so anxious he could barley bring himself to knock on the door. Keith answers the door and invites the two in.
"Please come sit down, Becky some coffee." Keith says.
"Uh, thanks Keith... so uhm... what's going on? The energy feels very low in here." Matt states.
Keith, Becky, and Eugene all share a glance at each other, "Matt... please sit." Eugene says.
They all sit around the dinning room table, Becky sure to sit next to Matt.
"Matt I don't know the best way to tell you this.." Eugene hesitates.
"There is not best way! Just rip off the bandaid!" Becky says with a frustrated tone.
"Okay! Okay... Matt. I cheated.."
"WHAT?!" Matt interrupts
"It was with Keith. Matt i'm so sorry."
"I'm sorry what? With Keith? Becky did you know about this?!"
"I found out just before we invited you guys over, I wanted to be here for you when you found out." Becky replies.
The room fell silent.
"Matt.." Eugene said faintly.
"Stop. I'm leaving. Don't come home tonight. I need time to think." Matt snapped.
"Okay.. I understand." Eugene said as he looked away sadly.
"Matt can I come with you? I need... to get away too." Becky asked.
Matt shook his head, Becky grabbed her bag and the two of them left.
Keith and Eugene looked at each other.
"I'm sorry..." Keith said empathetically.
Eugene stands up, walks over to Keith, and guides his chin to make Keith look at him. "Keith, it sucks to have to hurt those two... but I really care about you, with all of me... I regret nothing." Eugene said as he brushed Keith's hair back with his fingers.
Keith stood up, grabbed Eugene by the hips, and pulled him in for a kiss. His lips warm and soft against Eugene's.
"We'll be okay." Keith said as he pulled Eugene in for a long tight hug.
