"Yeah" Jordan replied "I'm gonna go fill out the discharge papers" jay says "ok" she says then he walks out of the room and when he comes back too leave and go to jays house when jay gets home he gets the mail and they head into his house jay then sees the envelope from the service place and looks at Jordan and says "I need to talk to you about something" and she looks at jay and says "ok" "Jordan I have arranged it for you to live with me and I'm thinking of adopting you but only if that's ok with you" Jordan looks up and jay with the biggest smile on her face and says "I would love you to" and she hugs jay, he gladly except the hug and smiles looking down jay had told Jordan they would run to the store and get her some things and then the girls would take her shopping tomorrow for more  so jay and Jordan went to the store and she got a pair of pjs, a outfit for the next day and some deodorant the minimum she need for tonight and tomorrow morning then she'd get the rest with the girls when they got home the duo had dinner then headed to bed but instead of Jordan heading to bed right away she made a list of things she needed, the next morning Jordan awoke to the smell of pancakes and she walked into the kitchen and sat at the island to watch jay cook he had made chocolate chip pancakes something Jordan had never eaten before but after she took the first bite she fell in love with them later Erin had showed up "hey Erin" said Jordan "hey Jordan how are you" and Jordan replied with "I'm good hey Erin can you do my hair please" and Erin said "sure Jordan what do you want me to do" and Jordan says "Dutch braids please" and Erin sits down next to Jordan and starts braiding her hair into to Dutch braids then she asks Jordan "are you excited to go shopping" and Jordan says "yeah last night with jay was the first time I've been shopping" "well my friends natalie and gabby are gonna come along they are super nice"Erin replied "ok sounds like fun" Jordan says then after Erin finishes braiding Jordan's hair the teen gives Erin a hug and thanks her and runs up stair to change clothes and after she's out off site Erin turns to jay and says "how's she doing" and he replies with "I think good she hasn't had a panic attack since we've left her old house and last night she agreed to let me adopt her" and he continues by saying "she's a good kids and she brightens my day it's like I can't imagine her not living here and it's only been a day" Erin looks at her partner and jokes "welcome to parenthood" and then the two share a laugh then Jordan comes down stairs dressed in a pair of slightly baggy sweats and a white fitted tee and she slips on a pair of shoes that Erin can tell are old cuz they practically fall of Jordan at the bottoms they then both head to the store in Erin's car where they meet natalie and gabby and Erin introduces them by saying "Jordan this is my friend gabby dawson she works at firehouse 51" and Jordan says "hi gabby it's nice to meet you" and gabby says "hi Jordan it's nice to meet you too" and then Erin says "and Jordan this is my friend natalie manning she works with your soon to be uncle will" and natalie says "hi Jordan it's nice to meet you" and Jordan says "it's nice to meet you too" the three girls then go inside and gabby grabs a cart while Erin takes Jordan's hand and leads here to the clothing section first and says "pick out what you like just make sure it's age appropriate" and Jordan says ok no problem Mo- I mean Erin" and Erin looks at Jordan and smiles and says "you can call me whatever you'd like Jordan" and Jordan says "ok so it's ok if I call you mom" and Erin says "if you wanna call me mom I'd be honored and gladly except" and Jordan smiles and says "thanks you and can you please call me something other then Jordan" and Erin looks at her and says sure how about Jordy and can I ask why" and Jordan says "that names good and I've never had a mom and Aaron only ever called me Jordan so I've never had a nickname" and Erin now looks at Jordan and says "oh Jordy sweetie im so happy I can be a mother figure to you" and Jordan says "im so glad your in my life mom" and Erin says "me to now let's find you some cute outfits" and now they are looking in the clothes and Jordan picks out a few oversized t-shirts a few pairs of high rise jeans, a few cropped tank style and t-shirt tops, a few pairs of joggers and some undergarments then Erin drags Jordan to the shoe section telling Jordan she needs a new pair of shoes since hers are practically falling apart and Jordan shows Erin a pair of black high top vans with a white line and they find her size and Erin puts them in the cart then Erin says "what else is on your list" and Jordan says "next is a hair brush and some hair accessories" after they get that Erin leads them to the skincare section and Jordan asks "mom what's skincare" and All the girls look at Jordan shocked and Erin says "Jordy skincare is what us girls use to maintain out healthy skin I take it your dad never let you have any" and Jordan says "yeah he didn't let me have much I wore the same clothes and shoes for about 3-4 years" and Erin looks at her and says "well then we're gonna show you the basics sweetie" then They pick up basic skincare stuff like a face wash and a moisturizer and a sunscreen then natalie asks "Jordy what's next on your list" and Jordan unfolds her list and says "uh i don't know if this is to early because we still have a week of summer break or if you guys don't wanna but I was thinking of getting some school stuff I had to use the same stuff for years cause Aaron never bought me anything new" and now Erin says "hey Jordy I'm gonna text you dad and ask him if he wants us to get school stuff or wait" and Jordan says "okay mom" and Erin smiles pulling out her phone she then pulls up jays number and texts him saying "hey jay, shopping is going good but we are wondering if we should pick up school stuff for Jordy or if you want us to wait" and a minute later he texts Erin back saying "hey Erin, oh yeah I'm gonna sign Jordy up for Chicago high since it's a good school and it's within walking distance of both the district and med" and then erin texts back "so we should pick up school stuff for Jordy right" and jay texts back "yes, but just some basic stuff when I go sign her up I'll ask for a list of all the supplies then we can shop for the rest" and erin texted him back "ok I'll let Jordy know" and then she put her phone away and says "Jordy your dad says we should pick up the basic stuff and then when he gets a list we can get the rest" and Jordy says "ok can I pick out a backpack please mom" and Erin says "Yea Jordy which ever one you like" when they get to the back pack section Jordan walks up and down the isles before stopping in the last one and saying "that's the one" they then continue on to the school supplies isles and picked up a pack of pencils, some extra erasers,a pack of highlighters and a pack of sticky notes they then went and grabbed body wash, shampoo and conditioner and then headed to the check out when they got out side the group said there goodbyes and Erin and Jordan headed back to jays house they went into Jordan's room and put her clothes away and then she put her backpack and school supplies in her closet too they then went down stair to be met by jay and Hank coming in through the front door holding cans of paint and a box that has a seat in it they then heads up to Jordan's room and painted it then they put the desk together and then jay told Erin, he and Hank where headed to the mattress store to pick up the mattress he bought for Jordan and then they were gonna pick up the bed frame he bought and asked if Her and Jordan Could pick up a bed set and then they left to after the boys back to the store to pick up a bed set and when the girls got back they could tell the boys had already gotten back and they went up to the room to see the guys putting the mattress on the bed frame and then the girls grabbed the bed sets they bought out of the bags and had Jordan pick which one she wanted to put on first and then they finished decorating Jordan's room the way she wanted then they all went down stairs and jay went into the kitchen to order a pizza for dinner and while he was doing that Erin and Hank took this opportunity to get to know Jordan so Hank asked "so Jordan How old are you" and Jordan Says "I'm 15 mr.voight" and now hank said "Jordan you can call me Hank or whatever you'd like" and Jordan says "ok Can I Call you Grandpa Hank" and he looks at her and smiles feeling happy she feels that safe and comfortable with him and says "yeah Jordan that's Ok with me" then Jordan says "Grandpa Hank you can call me Jordy or whatever you like I just kinda don't like Jordan" Hank now looked at her feeling a little sad that the girl didn't like her own name but said "ok Jordy but can I ask why you don't like your name" and Jordan says "that was the only thing Aaron used to call me" a wave of realization now hit Hank she didn't like her own name cause it reminded her of her biological father who she never had a good relationship with and Hank says "ok Hey Jordy do you have a cell phone"
And Jordan says "No but Dad says he's gonna get me one for when I start school" and Hank say "good and I'll make sure you get my number so if you need to get ahold of me you can or if for some reason I need to get ahold of you I can" and Jordan says "ok grandpa hank" and now Erin asks "hey Jordy are you or were in any sports or clubs" and Jordan says "no mom I didn't get to play sports or be in clubs cause Aaron kept me home schooled but I think I might try out for some sports at my new school" Hank now looked at Erin smiling realizing she had become a mother figure to Jordan and now Erin asks "what kinda of sports you think you wanna try out for Jordy" and Jordan says "I was thinking basketball,maybe softball and Hockey too" Erin looks at Jordan and smiles and says "sound like you want a full schedule of sports" and Jordan says "well they each practice for a different day and hockeys not till softball is over so I'll have time" Erin and hank just smiled realizing this girl was definitely jays daughter and just then jay came in saying the pizza would be there in 20 minutes
