Adopting and Adapting

A few hours later Dr. Charles appears in Jordan's room Will introduces him and Jordan says hi. Dr. Charles sends both the halsteads out of the room so he can talk to Jordan without worrying about her holding back because of an audience. "So Jordan I'm just here to talk and see if I can help you at all", says Dr. Charles. "Ok" replied Jordan. So you said you get a panic attack when you're overwhelmed, what triggers that type of emotion normally?" Asks Dr. Charles. Jordan looked down at her feet and said the overwhelming happens "when I'm scared like when Aaron used to beat me often", replied Jordan. Doctor Charles was surprised but didn't show it but he wasn't surprised at the fact that Jordan's dad beat her because a lot of psych patients shared that childhood trauma, he was surprised at the fact that Jordan called her father by his name instead. Soon Jordan returned eye contact. Doctor Charles said he understood and said he wanted Jordan to stay one night for observation of her mental health and he'd be in tomorrow to talk to her and Jay about her treatment plan. With that being done with and going well doctor Charles left and Jay and Will came back in Will checked her vitals because he was her doctor and said he agreed with the overnight stay because it would also give him a chance to monitor her physical health as well. Will got paged to see another patient so he left Jordan and Jay to spend their bonding time. Jay had an appointment with social services to make sure his house was up to code so he could adopt Jordan (which with all going on he decided not to tell her yet) he had asked his partner Erin Lindsay to get groceries to make sure his appointment was up to Code. In the morning his plan was to leave while Jordan was still asleep, have his buddy Kevin in the room to tell Jordan where he went and to keep her company while he did some cleaning in his apartment and had his appointment with social services so it would look good for when he goes to adopt Jordan. Leaving his buddy Adam to man the door by himself ( he knew both were capable of doing what he assigned them). In the morning Jordan awoke to see Kevin sitting in the chair next to her bed where Jay usually sat but she figured if Jay wasn't there there was an important reason why. "Morning Kev" says Jordan.

Kevin looks at Jordan and says "morning Jordan". "Where's Jay" asked Jordan. "He's at home cleaning and getting ready for an inspection of his apartment", replied Kevin. "Do you know when he plans to be back because I have two appointments today and then I'm being released"  says Jordan. "Hopefully he doesn't have to miss much if any of the events but if he does I'll be here so you're not alone" says kevin. "Ok thanks Kev", says jordan.  For the next few hours Jordan and Kevin play some cards, watch some TV and get to know each other more while at jays house he was waiting for the people from social services to show up. By now it 1:00  and Jordan has her first appointment with Will and social services finally got to his house to inspect. A few minutes later Will walked into Jordan's room. "Hey Jordan so I'm first just gonna check your vitals then we're gonna weigh you and measure you to update your chart" "And then I'm just gonna look at your abdomen to see how that's healing because I'm glad to say your black eye looks better then when you arrived" Meanwhile at Jays place social services was doing there inspection and said they are happy to be able to report his home meets all the requirements. When social services left Jay was happy because it made him look good to have a ready to move in apartment. Jay was just about to sit down on his couch to relax when he remembered Jordan had two appointments and then could be released if there was no reason to keep her longer. So Jay check the time 1:57 Jay had missed her first appointment at 1 but that was with Will and Kevin was there so he could find out the results by texting Will or asking Kevin. Jay arrived back at her room by 2:00 her next appointment was at 3:45 with doctor Charles to discuss her treatment plan with her and Jay. When Jay walked in he said hi to Jordan and she said hi back he apologized for missing her appointment with Will and asked how it went. Jordan smiled and said it was fine that Kevin was there and that Will said her vitals looked good. He also said her bruising and black eye were healing nicely and he ordered a blood test to see how her nutrition levels were now. She had been on the drip for two days now. For the next few hours Jay and Jordan watched family feud until it reached 3:45 and  Doctor Charles came in. Jay muted the TV and Jay and Jordan turned their attention to the Dr. Standing in the room. Dr. Charles told Jay and Jordan that he would like to have two sessions a week with Jordan to talk about current things and past traumas but also give Jordan a prescription so when she did get a panic attack that she can't calm down easy from she won't panic so much after that a nurse came in and took a sample of blood to check Jordan's nutrient level. It was now 5:00 and will came in to tell them the results of Jordan's blood test "hey Jordan everything looks good so you are free to leave when your ready" will said and Jordan looked up at him happy and "thanks Dr.Halstead" and he looked at Jordan and said "Jordan you can call me will" and she said "ok thank you" and then will left the room and jay looked at Jordan and said "you ready to go Jordan"
