Wilbur patiently waited at the gorgeous fountain near the entrance of Las Nevadas, quietly recalling the rather ominous letter that he was sent. 'Meet me at the entry-way fountain in Las Nevadas tomorrow. -Q'. He was quite curious as to why the duck hybrid wanted to speak with him so soon. He suddenly perked up when he heard footsteps though, glancing over to see his rival. "Oh, hey Big Q."
"Hey," Quackity spoke in a much calmer and soft tone than usual. "I'm... sorry." He sighed, looking away. "I'm sorry about yesterday. I shouldn't have yelled at you, and I should have been stronger instead of breaking down as I did, it was so stupid-"

"Stop right there! Don't call your emotions stupid, Quackity. I'm the one who should be sorry. I brought up a sensitive topic, and I scared you. And besides, that wasn't just a breakdown, Quackity. That was a panic attack. I recognize them, Quackity... it's not stupid if it upset you that much." Wilbur sighed.
Quackity looked at him, then he looked down. "I know..." He sighed, "But, I'm also sorry for pushing you away. I should have let you help me, but I'm so used to living in this whole place. This place has no room for weakness."
Wilbur saddened, "I know. I know what you mean."

It was silent for a moment, then Quackity spoke.
"I was waiting for the right time to tell others about the engagement."
Wilbur perked up, listening and nodding.

"But, one day, they just left. DIsappeared. But, I was patient." Quackity sighed, "I made this city for us. Them... and me." He looked out at his city. "Then George told me that Karl and Sapnap made their own country. George even helped... and none of them bothered to tell or invite me." He teared up. "Sapnap came to me one evening and we talked. He insisted I go see their stupid 'kingdom'." He held up quotes, "So, I did. It wasn't exactly my style, I didn't even think it was Sapnap's style either, but he was so passionate about it. The whole tour, Karl acted weird... like he was uncomfortable and angry. He took Sap aside to talk, but I overheard Karl saying that he didn't want me there." He teared up more, shakily breathing in. "...He told Sap that he purposely didn't invite me. I was hurt, so I asked him why." A tear fell from one of his eyes, his hands lightly shaking. "He said..." He breathed in sharply, "He told me that... I'm a murderer."
Wilbur's expression turned to shock.

"He argued that I killed him in El Rapids. But he agreed to the plan! George and Sapnap agreed too, am I at fault for just suggesting it?" Quackity turned to face Wilbur. "Was it all some rotten plan to get back at me? Does Sapnap even care?!" Quackity began to cry. "Was I... not enough?" His voice broke as he began to cry more, just as the rain began to pour on them. Quackity's knees buckled, but this time, he didn't feel the sting of pain from colliding with the ground. He felt strong arms holding him up before slowly lowering him to the ground. He looked up, making eye contact with Wilbur. He went to speak, but he only broke down into another sob as he leaned forwards, resting his throbbing head on Wilbur's chest.

Wilbur saddened and pulled the smaller close, carefully rubbing his back as he sobbed into his chest. Wilbur stayed quiet, beginning to rock Quackity back and forth, petting over his beanie. "I know... it's okay, Q... it's gonna be okay." He spoke quietly.
Quackity's hands raised, clinging onto Wilbur's -Now drenched- yellow turtleneck. He continued to cry into his chest sadly, wondering why he couldn't be enough for his 'fiances'.

Wilbur moved his hand down, cautiously petting his wings. "I'm here... I'm here for you, Quackity. I promise that I'll always be here for you." He spoke in a soft, almost loving, tone. He was trying so hard to not kiss his head. He didn't dare exploit him in such a vulnerable state.

He tried to think of some way to comfort him. He sighed silently, frustrated with himself for not being able to comfort Quackity. ...Then he got a small idea. "You're enough, Quackity... you're enough to me. I know it doesn't mean as much because I'm not your fiance, but that doesn't change the fact that you are enough. You're wonderful, Quackity. You're funny, and you deeply care about those that you love. If they can't love you for you and see you for who you are, then fuck them. There are so many better people that won't take you for granted, people who will care for you and love you, okay?" Wilbur gently held Quackity's face in his hands, making Quackity look at him. "Please don't let those assholes get to you. Do not forget your worth, Quackity."

Quackity blushed, he tearfully smiled. "Thank you, Wilbur." He hugged him close.
Wilbur perked up, surprised. He blushed slightly but hugged back nonetheless.
Quackity teared up again. He didn't realize until now how touch-starved he was. He leaned further into the hug.
Wilbur smiled, petting his wings again, but this time, Quackity had flinched, releasing a small whimper in the process. Wilbur perked up, now curious. "You okay?" He questioned.
"Ah- yeah... my wings are sensitive." Quackity looked away, flustered.

Wilbur smirked slightly, "Oh, really?" He curiously rubbed his wings.
Quackity gasped, moaning slightly, which quickly got him all flustered.
Wilbur blushed brightly, and he quickly let go of his wings. "Sorry!"
Quackity looked away, very flustered. "Don't do that again." He huffed. "...But I forgive you."
Wilbur smiled a bit, chuckling at the tsundere that was the duck hybrid. He slowly stood up, bringing Quackity up with him.
Quackity looked at him with curiosity.
Wilbur let go of him, "I'll see you soon, cutie." He left a small kiss on his cheek before he turned and left.
Quackity stood there, shocked, and flustered. '...Why do I want him to do it again?' He wondered. 'His lips were surprisingly soft, and warm. He was so comforting too... being in his arms... that's the happiest I've felt in months!' He thought, making his face burn more. '...Do... Do I still love him?'
