Seaside; a small, virtually unknown place on Lake Michigan. Wide dunes, green forests and white sand draw the landscape of a gentle paradise. Here begins the story of Paul DeFoure. A 17-year-old high school student who was so uninteresting that hardly anyone knew him. Didn't find him on the school rugby team, not in the karate club, and certainly not in the chess club. He was one of the quieter, less conspicuous students whose existence was always accepted without hesitation. And that was precisely why he was targeted. Daily bullying had practically become a part of his schedule. He was never able to form any kind of friendship with either the boys or the girls, so one day he decided to go to another school, no matter where, but just away from this place.
