I followed my footsteps out the school building. I had my hands in my pockets, with my hood up and my air pods in, blasting Die For You by the weekend. My music was interrupted by a message, I took my phone out of my pockets and checked the message.

I shoved my phone back into my pockets and continued to walk down the street. I got past a few of the houses across from mine as I got closer to my house. I saw my brother open the door and rush out, I quickened my pace and rushed inside.

I dropped my bag on the floor and took off my shoes. I placed them to the side of the door and made my way to the kitchen. I grabbed a small chocolate bar out of the fridge and a water bottle as well. I walked out and went to Ace's room.

I opened the door to see her sitting in her cot playing with one of her bunny toys, and one of its ears in her mouth. I smiled and walked towards her. I placed my things I got from the kitchen in my pockets and picked her up out of her cot.

She rested on my hip with her head leaning on my shoulder. I kissed her forehead and walked out of her room, closing the door behind me. I walked downstairs and went into the living room, I placed Ace on the couch and went to go get her a bottle.

I walked back into the living room to see Ace fiddling with the remote buttons. I took the remote out of her little hands and replaced it with the bottle. She started to drink as I turned on the TV. I put Moesha on Netflix and relaxed with Ace.

15 episodes later, Ace had gotten sleepy and I had gotten very hungry. I looked down from the TV to see Ace rubbing her eyes with her fists, her pacifier almost falling out of her mouth. I brought a hand up and put it back. She looked up and a faint smile appeared. Ace leaned against my arm and moved closer.

"One second Ace, I'm going to make some food." I sighed and picked her up. She leaned against my chest, her arms limp by her sides. I got to the kitchen and sat her in her highchair and pushed her loose hair behind her ears.

I opened the fridge and took out the leftover pizza and put it into the oven. I set a timer and waited for it to go off. I took my phone out of my pockets and opened tiktok. My fyp was filled with book recommendations and random ass images, obviously I'm going to like them, as my relationship status is six feet under at this point.

I looked up and saw Ace leaning on her hands keeping her head up. I smiled and put my phone down, I walked over to her and picked her up out of her highchair. I walked upstairs and into her room.

I placed her down in her cot, placed her comforter over her body and turned on her night light. I went back to the kitchen and took my pizza out of the oven. I moved the plate to the other side of the island, and I sat down on one of the bar stools and slid my phone back into my grip.

I went onto instagram and saw that Ava had posted a picture of her and Jaden. I looked at the caption and scoffed at her words.

I tapped through people's stories and liked a few posts. I finished my pizza and put the plate in the sink. I went back to tiktok and scrolled through my following page. I liked some videos and commented on a few posts.

Once I turned my phone off, I heard a cry come from Ace's room, I rushed upstairs and opened her door even more than it was. I moved towards her and cradled her in my arms until she stopped crying. I walked out of her room and went downstairs. I went into the living room and sat down with her on my lap.

I turned on the Tv and put on a show we both could watch. I turned her around, so her back was up against my chest. I pressed small kisses to her head as she slowly looked up, her eyes still watery. I quickly wiped the small tears falling down her face and kissed her nose, making her smile. Her hands sat on my legs and her fingers lightly tapped my pants.

I sighed as someone knocked on the door. I put Ace on my hip and walked to the door. I opened it and it revealed someone I haven't seen in a long time.

"Hey Y/n, little Ace." The figure said.
