Five Times Drew told Jake he loved him and the First time he said it back

Bonus Chapter 4: Anxiety and Jealousy

Drew eyed Jake nervously. Jake had been kind if distant these past few weeks, and Drew was worried his boyfriend was having doubts about their relationship.

What if he was breaking up with him? What if Jake was moving? Could he be getting abused by his family? What's wrong? All these thoughts went through Drew's head, and it was killing him.

Drew was refusing to eat, and he was barely getting any sleep. He was on overdrive just to stay conscious. He knew this wasn't healthy, but he was too anxious to care. His anxiety always got the better of him.

Of course, he did eat, but only one small meal a day. He would eat one plate of dinner, but that was it. He was hungry, but he couldn't over eat. It would trigger his nausea.  He needed more food and sleep. He was so tired he was falling asleep at school, and he was constantly late for class, and he was scolded by his teachers.

Henry and Liam decided to confront Drew at lunch. He came late due to sleeping in class. "Dude, you slept through history again." Liam started. "Oh, did I?" Drew asks. Henry groaned. "Yes! And Geometry. " Drew sighed. "That's not good." He admitted. "What's gotten into you? You're not eating ar school either. You're not doing that thing again? Are you? "

"What thing?" Drew asked. "The thing where you blame yourself for something and get all anxious." Liam answers as a matter of fact. "Did Jake do something?" Henry asked.

Drew froze. Henry and Liam aren't the brightest, but they always knew when something was wrong before anyone else, even Jake himself. Drew sighed. "He's distant." Liam looked away. "He's been hanging around Hailey a lot more recently." Liam says. He rubs the back of his neck nervously, not going unnoticed by Drew. "You know something." Drew says. "Whaat? No I don't."this earned Liam an eyeroll. "Real smooth, Prince Charming." Henry teased before turning his attention from Liam to Drew.

"But, seriously Drew, if you want things to work, you need to express your concerns. Tell him you'd like to spend mire time with him, dude." Henry said. Drew nodded. That was very good advice, especially from that lettuce loving weirdo! "Okay."

Drew thought about those words a lot. He wanted nothing more than to spend some time with Jake, but he didn't know how to make that happen. He missed it all. Jake's scent, his eyes, and the way his lips felt upon his own. It was something he'd gotten addicted to. Drew's sleep deprived mind was on overload. But, he's spending time with Hailey.

Drew and the Music Freaks made up, but still, he and Hailey weren't close. It was scaring Drew, as he knew Hailey had a crush on Jake, much like Lia, another person Drew didn't trust. It was terrifying. He might have to give Jake up.

He needed to talk to Jake, now. Drew whips out his phone and calls Jake. He hears his boyfriend pick up and sighs in relief.

"Hey, babe, what's the matter?" Jake asked. This hurt. Did he seriously not notice how tired Drew looked? He forgot to put on concealer today. "Why haven't you been contacting me?" Drew asked. Jake sighed.

He can't tell Drew. He and Hailey were trying to help Xander and Luke. Their relationship needs work, and Jake and Hailey are trying to save it.

But he's worried Drew enough. "Oh, I've been busy with Hailey. We're doing band stuff."

"Band stuff? Darling, what does that mean? Practice, or drama?" Jake flinched at the response. "Drama. "

Drew sighed in relief again, he wasn't losing Jake. "I love you Drew, now you should rest, you looked exhausted today." Okay, maybe Drew should give his boyfriend more credit. Now that he knew he had no reason to be jealous, he said I love you too, and hung up. He was smiling ear to ear.

Everything would be alright.
