Drew groaned as he remembered his promise. "I'll tell my dad when he gets home." Why did he have to say that? Now he felt uneasy. His dad would be home soon. It made him feel weak, honestly. He was terrified of doing this.
No matter, he has to do this. He promised Jake, and a promise is a promise. He got started making breakfast when his dad walked into the kitchen. He was home. "Morning, Dad" Drew said, cheerfully. "You're up early." David, his dad, commented. Drew just smiled and continued cooking. He had coffee brewing and everything was nearly ready. David sat down and began to read, he had a book from his flight back he hadn't finished yet.
When breakfast was done, Drew called " Lilac! Breakfast." Then went upstairs to wake Aaron. Derek was with his fiance. Drew sighed as they all sat down together. Now is the perfect time to say something.
"Dad, I'm bisexual. I'm dating a boy." Drew admitted. "Hmm. Anyone I know?" David asked. "Jake. Are you okay with that?" Drew asked. His heart was beating so quick he thought it would burst out of his chest. "No, you can date who you want, Kiddo." Drew sighed in relief. "But, I want to see you two together soon, is that okay?" Drew nodded.
And so, the next week, Jake was coming over, flowers in hand. He gave them to Drew, who smiled and went to put them in a vase. David smiled. "Hello, it's nice to see you again, Jake." Jake nodded nervously. "It's good to see you too, Sir."
He said. "Just call me David." Was the reply.Drew eyed Jake's lips, he wanted to kiss Jake, but his dad was right there. It would be awkward. Jake seemed to understand, and pulled Drew in for a kiss. Drew closed his eyes, forgetting his dad was there as he took in his boyfriend's taste. When they pulled back, though, Drew blushed as his dad had a knowing grin on his face.
Drew sighed and grabbed Jake's hand. "I want to be alone with you, come on." He said. David smiled and shouted" Door open." and Drew blushed so hard he thought he'd faint. Jake laughed it off.
Drew sat next to Jake on his bed, snuggling next to his boyfriend, who was currently playing a game on Drew's switch. He was happy just watching instead of joining in. Jake gave him a sweet kiss before turning his attention back to the game, leaving Drew dazed. He was happy. Drew looked away shyly.
Drew's favorite scent was Jake. His favorite taste was Jake. His favorite color was now dark blue, like Jake's jacket. He was obsessed. Jake was on his mind one hundred percent of the time, and Drew loved it. The way his heart beat of anticipation every time Jake got too close was addicting. He was quite simply, an emo in love.
Drew's thoughts were interrupted by Jake. "Babe?" Jake asked. "Yes?" Drew asked. "Are you okay, you zoned out for a second. But look! I won, Babe!" Jake said happily. "That's why you were trying to get my attention? Your game?" Jake nodded proudly.
"But, Drew, what's on your mind? You're worrying me Babe." Jake asked. "I was just thinking about how great it is my dad accepts us. I didn't mean to worry you." That was Drew's way of apologizing. Jake nodded and kissed Drew on his forehead. "I love you, Babe."
"I love you too, Darling." Drew said. He really was happy that his dad accepted and the rest of his family as well.
Plus, the Music Freaks supported their relationship as well, even though they don't like Drew. It was nice.
