Love has nothing to do with what you expect to get- but it has everything to do with what you expect to give.

William sat in his office, looking through scrolls and maps of the land, his mind flaring with fleeting energy. It was past midnight, and he was still in his office with Nathaniel beside him. He held a glass of scotch in one hand and directed with the other.

His office was a shrine of green and gold leaf; the chairs at his table were draped in emerald green chiffon and framed in gleaming gold leaf, a beautiful balance of colours to feast on.

"Are you sure the information is correct?" William asked as the two peered down at the large map lying on the mahogany table.

"I'm certain the man carried their symbol." Nathanial said his posture stiffening into a soldier's.

"That means the next attack will be in a fortnight, a week before the coronation," William said, his voice a scary calm as his mind calculated his next move. "We'll arm the walls from the east if they try getting entry from the outside."

"What if they have already reached inside our walls?" Nathanial questioned his king.

"We already have twenty warriors stationed there; I'll take a dozen more to stop the rebels." William spoke up, his voice dropping an octave and flashing a dangerous glint.

The rebels were a group of lone wolves, usually mostly criminals who had finished their time in prison or had been exiled out of the kingdom. They were vile, less wolf-like and more hound-like beasts, most of them delusional psychopaths who had always tried to take over the kingdom, causing William's ancestors to build a wall around the east side of the kingdom, where most of them resided.

"Your Majesty, do you really see fit to leave for the East a week before the coronation?" Nathanial asked, his voice holding a slight tremor, and before he knew it, the king had a dagger drawn against his throat.

"Do not dare question my authority, especially after what you did last night." The king breathed out his voice, a solid mass of power, making Nathaniel flinch and step back as he felt his wolf tremble with the need to submit to his king, knowing his limits well: "Let me remind you. One more wrong step and you're out of the council."

The king's council was a group of Alpha's and warriors that worked together to create law and order on the land. They discussed matters that mostly impacted crime, taxes, and laws. To be on the council, the alphas and the warriors had to complete tasks set by the king; in Nathaniel's case, it was to spy on the rebels and find out when they were going to attack next.

"Yes, sir," Nathanial said, his tone soldier-like as he left the office, his fur side bristling at having to submit to his King.

William sat in his office for a while, sipping on his scotch, his mind racing back to Ariana, and before he knew it, he had put the cup down and was up on his feet. He closes his eyes and imagines her; the beads of her soul connect to him, allowing him to see her sleeping in her chambers. Before he knows it, the floor beneath his feet shifts so that he is standing in her chambers.

You see, the moon Goddess had blessed her descendants with magical powers that would help them protect the wolf race; however, to keep these powers, they had to swear allegiance to her and promise to keep their abilities hidden from the other wolves to carry on the balance in the world. Each of her descendants had three abilities: William could teleport, dream walk, and...

Her room was dark, the only light coming from the large bedside window. The rays of the moon were reflected back through the glass chandelier hanging from the ceiling, illuminating her face in its ethereal light.

From a distance, he can hear her shallow breathing, a telltale sign that she was sleeping, a soothing melody to his ears.Taking a few steps closer to her cot so he could see her, his breath caught in his throat as he saw the beautiful creature sprawled out carelessly, her long, dark tendrils falling off the side of the bed, her eyelashes forming a soft shadow under her eyes, her plump lips in a small pout.

His hands ache to touch her as he involuntarily clenches them at his sides, wanting to cradle her in his arms, but he doesn't, knowing well that he has exceeded the line of privacy and would wake her if he did so. William turns to leave but comes to a sudden halt when he hears Ariana let out a low, breathy moan in her sleep something so small yet so enticing that it causes him to freeze and bite his lips in want.

He almost can't believe his eyes at the small angel sleeping; how could one woman have so much power over him, he wondered to himself, his mind becoming fogged as he leans down and lightly traces her lips, causing her mouth to part open and his forefinger to sink in as she gently sucks on it, making his wildest fantasies of her go wild with his curiosity.

Before he knew it, he was following the threads of her mind to her dreams, where he sees her kneeling on the floor, eyes slightly wide, as her hands move up and down the length of his cock before kissing the tip and letting his length slide into her parted lips.

He pulls back, knowing what would happen if he stayed in her mind longer.

His wolf had been dream walking into Ariana's dreams without his knowledge for the past few days, transforming them into exotic displays of affection, so she knew how he would treasure her, hold her, and make love to her very soul.

He stands up to leave, pulling his finger from her mouth with a small pop and pushing the dark, sensual locks of her hair out of her face so they didn't fall in her eyes.

He turns so that he could shift into his own chambers when he hears Ariana moan and say, "Mate, ple..."

Her whole body shifted, her back arching as she cried out in what seemed to be ecstasy, her eyes beginning to flutter open, making him shift at her sudden awakening.
