A Promise

" So, your name is Allen? " Sakura asked.

" Yup! Allen Walker. " Allen said smiling at Sakura as they walked to the cafeteria.

An awkward silence grew between them. " So your not going to ask me about my eye? Or even my arm? " Allen asked trying to find something to talk about.

" No, I figured you probably have been asked a lot. So I decided that I would wait until you told me on your own. " Sakura said looking at him with a smile.

" Oh. Thank you. You could of asked though. I wouldn't of minded. I am quite used to it. " Allen said.

" Oh well... If you want to talk about it I will listen. " Sakura said walking on forward.

" I don't want to bother you with my sob story. " Allen said stopping in front of the cafeteria. Sakura looked at the big room and spotted Kanda and scoffed.

" Well I know where NOT to sit.... " Sakura said as she walked in. " And don't worry, if you have anything you need to get off your chest you know where to find me. "

Allen nodded and smiled leading her to the ordering counter.

"I'll have what Allen ordered ." Sakura said after Allen received his food orders.

Allen gaped at her, then he remembered. I wonder if she can eat it all...unless she's a parasitic type...or is it cause she hasn't had a decent meal in a long time... He thought.

When Sakura received her orders she followed Allen over to a table, avoiding Kanda as much as they can. They sat at the table and put down all their food,covering the whole table.

"Wanna have a eating contest?" Allen asked Sakura, who enthusiastically nodded her head.

"OK! 3,2,1. GO!" Allen shouted, and the both of them wolfed down their food as fast as they can without choking.

When Allen looked over at how Sakura was doing, he found out she had already eaten all her food, and was cleaning her mouth with a napkin.

"Wha...?" Allen stuttered. Lavi shouted out from afar,"Wow Sakura! No one has ever beaten Allen in a Eating Contest before!" Clapping his hands, he, Akami and Lenalee made their way over to the table.

Sakura was laughing hard falling over landing on the floor. " So it was a contest? I was just playing! " Sakura spoke through laughter. Allen was speechless staring at Sakura in disbelief. Lavi came over and patted Allen's back. " You were going to lose someday. " Lavi said through a smile.

"Not the best thing to say,Lavi." Allen muttered, making Lavi laugh.

Sakura laughed a bit more then stopped and looked at Allen and smiled " We'll have a rematch later, yeah? "

Allen returned her smile and said " Yeah, I would like that... "
