"Why am I still here? Let Annabeth and I  take Stella and go. What happened to the no mortals on Olympus' rule anyway?"

There was a second of silence where the gods finally realized how stupid they were to jump to conclusions but then the pillock with the inflated ego decided to open his stupid mouth.

"So this Stella is a mere mortal? You were foolish to bring her up here. Surely these demigods must be punished."

I-I am shooketh. I don't care if he is currently 20 feet tall, I'm going to punch him in the face. Luckily for Zeus, Annabeth started to speak before I could take a step in his direction.

"With all due respect Lord Zeus, you flashed us here without giving us a chance to explain who she is. Her name is Estelle Blofis, daughter of Sally and Paul Blofis."

"Blowfish? I was replaced by a guy named Paul? Paul...Blowfish?"

"Blofis, Dad, it's Blofis. I thought the same thing at first too, but Paul really grows on you."

"Yeah okay, but his name is Paul??"

"Well what did you expect? Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You are very pretty. Prepare to have my child."

Dad is just stuttering. I think I was a bit too forward with him. After all, I don't think he grasped the concept that Sally Jackson waits for no man, gods included. Aphordite took the opportunity of a stunned Poesidon to come down to my level and "speak to" me and Annabeth.

"You know, she's a cutie. I would love to see more babies around here. Maybe one with demigod blood. You and Annabeth are close enough and old enough. It's never too early to start a family and experience the product of REAL love."

"Oh my gods NO NO Why would you say that???!!!!"

Annabeth picked up the pieces of the conversation and my rash reaction and cleaned off the disgusted and shocked look off her face that came with being the topic of an intense dinner table, and joined in.

"Lady Aphrodite, with all due respect, the discussion is between me and Percy and your wants will ultimately have nothing to do with it."

I chimed in, leaning in close to Aphrodite's ear, "But...if you feel the need to be a part of our relationship, perhaps you can help me avoid a visit to Hades when we deliver the good news to my eventual mother-in-law."

I could see Annabeth's blush even when I was not looking at her. "We will welcome your assistance because unfortunately I can not marry a dead man nor will I have a child with Percy unless I am married.  I can assure you though that I look forward to that day and despite my mother's opinions I hope to see that day in the near future."

Daaaaaaaaaaaam. She did NOT need to go that far as payback. I don't think I can hide my blush fast enough.

"I see, you have my word IF I am invited to the wedding and help you pick out your dress."

    "Deal"

"Perfect Annabeth! Are you alright Percy dear, you're looking a bit flushed."

Now I am really trying to hide my blush as I try to avoid the gaze of a smirking Annabeth and the innocent but devious smile on the receding form of Aphrodite.

"I can't believe you made that deal."

"I can't believe my mother didn't kill you after that conversation was held in the same room as her, Seaweed Brain."

My expression must have been pretty obvious with my wide eyes and gaping mouth. "Haha, close your mouth. I'm pretty sure she was more occupied with keeping Hades from attacking Demeter after Demeter told Hades that 'I wouldn't mind another grandchild. A second granddaughter would be nice since Makaria is so involved with that lover of hers Thanatos'".

I have no clue who Maka-something is and I certainly don't care who she loves but I am immensely grateful that her bad family relationship was enough to prevent another Athena shovel talk, and enough to prevent the actual shovel.
