"So I gathered multiple newspapers from the murders suspected of victor Creel" Nancy says as she hands us multiple headlines and papers
"Okay be honest, uhhh do you guys understand any of this" Steve says
"No" lucas says as he looks at the paper confused
"Its pretty straightforward" Dustin says
"Oh straightforward, really? " Steve says
"Kinda stevie, I mean it's clear that everyone cursed vecna had died except....." I say
"Except this old victor Creel dude" Dustin explains
"Hes the only known survivor, and if anyone knows how to beat this curse it's him"
"Yeah, That's assuming he was cursed henderson which we don't even know" Steve replies
"how can vecna exist in the 50s it just doesn't make sense"
"Far as we know, Eleven didn't create the Upside Down. She opened a gate to it. The Upside Down has probably been around for thousands of years. Millions. I wouldn't be surprised if it predated the dinosaurs." Dustin says
"Dinosaurs? What are we..." Steve complains as he paces up and down
"Okay. But if a gate didn't exist in the '50s, how did Vecna get through?" Lucas says
"Oh and How's he getting through now?" Adds steve
"And why now?"
"And why then? Just pops out in the '50s, kills one family, and he's like,
"I'm good." And poof, he just disappears. Just... gone? Only to return 30 years later and start killing random teens? No, I don't buy it."
"Guys all of this is not going to help, think about it okay... I mean there must be something around the time in the 50s that triggered it and that means there must be something now" I say
"But what?" Lucas asks
"I don't know" I say
"Straight forward my ass" Steve moans

Suddenly u get a huge pounding pain in my head
"Hey, umm I just gonna go get some fresh air" I say as I walk upstairs
As I make my way upstairs Nancy and Robin burst through the door
"Oh, hey nance" i say
"Do you have any painkillers?" I ask her
"Uhh, year their in the cupboard above the sink"
"Okay, thank you"
I go towards the kitchen and grab myself some painkillers, nightmares, headaches what's next I've been thinking alot recently everything's been playing round my head all the time
Eddie, all the deaths and it's been right under my nose all this time I am going to get killed by vecna, I'm cursed. No we need to find a cure we will find a cure I shouldn't be worrying about it just live life in the present
I walk back into the basement and when I get in the room everyone turns too look at me
"Heyyyyy guys" I say nervously
"So what's going on" I say
"Me, Robin and nance are going to go too pennhurst asylum to speak to the old man himself" Steve says
"Speaking if which wheres my cover?"
"Steve?, your not going" she says as she gets up and walks upstairs Steve of course gets up and follows her because he's fed up with being with us, he dosent exactly say it by words but he sure does show it.

After a while Steve comes storming down the stairs
"Awww does poor stevie have to babysit again" I mock
"THIS IS EXACTLY WHY MUNSON" he says whilst staring at me
We hear ruffling in the corner where max is sat and the boys stare at her she turns to look at us
"I know you guys are staring at me" she says
"What? sorry?" Steve says
"You said you needed something" lucus says trying to get away with it
"Just hanging out" Steve continues as he throws a paper ball up and catches it
"How you think your eyes boring into the back if my head is protecting me from vecna, I don't know" she says as she gets up and walks too us holding multiple letters
"You can look at me now"

The boys say
"Whats up?" I ask her
"I just have these to give you, for you" she says as she hands a letter to Dustin
And does the same for Steve and lucas "and finally for you" she says as she turns to me
"Oh and give these to Mike, el, and will"
"Max what is this?, I dont like this" I say
"All I'm saying is don't open them now"
"Why not?" Dustin asks
"Its um..... its a fail-safe, for after if you know if uh things don't work out"
"Wait, woah max things are going to work out" lucas says in shock
"NO!" Max interups
"I don't need you to reassure me right now, and tell me it's all gonna work out, because people have been telling me that my whole life and its almost never true"
"Max...." I say trying to calk her down
"Its never true and I mean course, this asshole curses me, should've seen that one coming"
She turns around and grabs a walkie of the table
"If we go to East Hawkins will this still reach pennhurst" she asks
"I don't see why not" I say
"Wait- Why are we talking about east Hawkins" Steve moans as she looks at max
"No, no, no" he complains
"I wasn't asking" max says as she runs out
We all run after her amd when we get outside Steve tries to stop her
"Max, max seriously, I'm not joking Ok im not driving you anywhere"
"Steve give it a break I'm sorry but im with max on this one"
"Well thankyou dani your great help" he moans at me
"Steve if you think that I'm going to spend what is likely the last day of my life in the armpit that is Mike wheelers basement then your out of your mind...... so either you take me to where I need to go or your gonna have to tie me down which is technically the kidnapping of a minor, and if I were to live to see another day I swear to god Steve, I swear to god I will prosecute"
"Well that was a mouthfull" I say as we grab for the handle of Steve's car
"Open the door" she says as she sternly looks at Steve who isn't backing out
"Uhhh, no" he says
"I know a good lawyer"
"I wouldn't argue with that stevie" I say to him
"Ugh fine just get in..... Henderson that super walkie of yours better reach pennhurst"
As we get in the car max stops I the door and looks away to the distance
"Max are you Ok?" I ask her
"Yeah I just thought I saw something" she says as she gets in the car
