Su-jin:
THE GROUP STOOD AROUND AS THEY watched the helicopter fly off like they didn't just abandon children. I stayed lying on the rooftop floor, eyes still covered.
"They abandoned us." Hyo-ryung sobbed. "Didn't they? No one's come to save us now?"
"But why did they do that?" Joon-yeong muttered.
"Maybe...they thought that all of us were already fucking zombies." Wu-jin spoke up this time.
"They would have killed us." I decided to speak up. "They wouldn't have left us here, alive, if they thought that." I sat up when finishing.
Cheong-san had enough, and walked over to the fire, kicking it out of rage. On-jo ran to stop him but he only pushed her off.
"What are you doing?"
"It's pointless. No one's coming. No one else is coming."
He then started kicking everything and screamed. I wanted to help but I had no idea what to say or even do in this matter. Everyone just stood around while I just sat in my spot. No one of moved because after what happened, I don't think none of us want to do anything right now. After all, the only form of hope we've had since this all had started just flew away. Literally.
Thunder struck again, making Nam-ra fall down covering her ears. Su-hyeok and I ran up to her trying to help the best we could even though it's very limited.
"You okay?"
"My ears hurt so bad."
I tried petting her head smoothly to comfort her while Su-hyeok looked around. He then stopped and ripped two pieces from his uniform shirt and rolled them up.
"This should up." He held them up to her gently.
She slowly took them and stuffed them into her ears. It seemed to work as she calmed down a little.
Then it started raining.
"It's raining. Yes, it's raining!" Dae-su yelled.
"It's pouring!"
Dae-su and Wu-jin laid on the ground next to each other, making snow angels in the rain. Hyo-ryung, Ji-min, On-jo and I stood next to each other and held our hands out while looking up.
This actually feels nice...
Everyone started sobbing out of nowhere. I just stood there and watched but walked over to hug On-jo after a minute for two. I then heard Nam-ra panting and looked over to see Su-hyeok still trying to help her. I smiled and rested my head on On-jo's while she hugged me back.
I saw Cheong-san walk over to Joon-yeong and watched as the two started talking. I was curious to what they were talking about but didn't want to intrude.
A little while later, everyone huddled together in a section between where the doors are the one of the huge vents. I was sat in between On-jo and Wu-jin. Cheong-san and Joon-yeong explained everything to us and we all eventually agreed. It seemed like a better plan than anything else we could've thought of.
"If we manage to reach the mountains, we can make it all the way to Yangdong. I've been hiking there a few times before with my dad." On-jo spoke up.
"Even still, isn't it suicide?" Wu-jin sighed.
"I'm not going. I'm scared. What are we gonna do if the zombies catch us?" Hyo-ryung huffed.
"It's not like anyone is going to save us if we stay here. We're the only ones who can save ourselves." Cheong-san spoke up this time.
