"I'll be here if you want to see me honey." I nod my head at Ms. Kelly's words before exiting her office, some of the students turning their heads towards me and giving me those sympathetic looks I so despised. When I first started receiving them, after the tragic passing of my boyfriend Billy in a "mall fire", a part of me believed that I would get used to them in time. But after a year, my hatred for those kinds of looks just grew.

Since Billy's passing, my hatred for a lot of things grew. I quit cheerleading, student council and many more of the activities I prided myself for.  I also physically was having a lot of problems, mainly the pains in the side of my neck and my head. Who would've thought that your emotional health could have this much of an effect on your physical health, right? As I walked the halls, my hand found its way to Billy's necklace again, twisting the pendant between my fingers. Memories of him plagued my mind again, before I was interrupted by somebody snapping their fingers in front of my face.

"Hey, Cassie! Earth to Cassie, hello?" Dustin shook me by the shoulders and my brown eyes met his blue ones.

"Sorry, zoned out." I apologized "What do you want?"

He smiled way too sweetly at me after I said that.

"Oh God, what do you want?" I asked again.

"Could you play D&D with us-"

"Absolutely not." I told him and tried walking away but Mike caught my arm.

"Cassie please. Lucas and Morty have their game tonight and Eddie told us that if we don't find two subs for tonights game-"

"Woah woah woah." I cut him off "Eddie? Like in Eddie Munson, the freak who deals drugs to half the school?"  they nodded their heads "Oh my God, tell me you guys aren't doing drugs."

"No, no." Dustin intervened "He is the head of the Hellfire Club. Drug dealing is his side hustle that he doesn't let us get into."

"So you've asked." Dustin looked at me in shame before I rolled my eyes at him.  I took a second to think about the offer. Although I got mad at the two doofuses in front of me, I myself could very well use a bit of weed. I hadn't had a good nights sleep since Billy's death and weed was like the only possible solution I hadn't tried yet.

"Fine." I tell them "I'll come play with you guys. But it better not drag on too late. I have to visit Max tonight." they spit their promises to me that the game will be done by seven as soon as my sentence finishes. I just roll my eyes one more time before walking off, deciding to spend the rest of the school day in library until the time for the campaign comes.

"Shit, sorry, sorry. I fell asleep in the library." I barged into the room that Dustin and Mike told me to come to. Everyone was seated at the table, glaring at me. "Hi." I smile sweetly again before I see the one and only Eddie Munson take a deep breath in, leaning towards me.

"This is Hellfire Club, not fuck-up club." he said with a fake smile on his face, his minions snickering at this comment.

"Isn't this like your third senior year?" I shoot back, making his minions snicker even louder. I see Munson's face drop before he gets up from his seat and walks towards me, our height difference making him tower over me.

"You're brave for coming in here, to my club, and insulting me." he tells me in a lower voice.

"And you're brave for that handkerchief in your back pocket." I say in an even lower voice, catching a look of surprise on before it is replaced by one of amusement "I'm surprised you wear it on the left though." a smirk appears on my lips before his does the same, and he extends his hand out to me.
