The Mafia Wants Me

Chapter 2

Sarah's POV

 At work it wasn't to hard today.  I cleared 3 tables and sat a family down taking there orders. "So what can I get Ya'll?" There was a 3 year old toddler, a teen boy , and mom and dad. For a second I zone out thinking of how lucky and happy they are compared to my life. I felt someone pull on my skirt and it made me flinch coming back to reality. 

 I looked down and the little girl was asking me to hold her. Of course I picked her up and tickled her then gave her to her dad and got their orders. "Alright so 2 eggs 4 bacon 1 milkshake and 3 waters with an omelet" I repeated. "Ok I'll have your order soon" with that i walked towards to the kitchen and once I gave the cook their order I grabbed a muffin and shoved it down on my break with my friend Meredith. 

We talked and once the family was done eating i went to bus their table. They left me a $25 tip!! this has been the biggest tip i have gotten all week and once i was done clearing their table i took all my tips put it in my apron and went towards the black SUV to go home.

 In the car driving home, I checked the time and I turned frozen.  I was gonna be 15 minutes late!!! I knew my parents would be furious and i tapped on the drivers shoulder. "hey  um can you please go faster i'm gonna be super late " i said trying not to panic. 

"Sorry honey but i don't take orders from you, your not in the mafia. now shut up" the driver said harshly.  I scoff "escuse me" i roll my eyes and slump down annoyed of everyone reminding me of MY life choices. Of course I didn't say that out loud and just sat there and my hands started to Shake and I was biting my nails cause that's what i do when I'm nervous. 

Once i get home i quickly get out of the car and quietly headed in making sure not to let my family know i was home LATE. As i sneak upstairs to go to my room I hear a gut wrenching voice. "WHERE WERE YOU!!" My step mother yells as I slowly turn around she is wearing and hot pink ,short fitted dress and looked like she has been drinking all day. "I-I was-s at uh w-work lat-te" I studder and my hand starts to shake again but I hid it behind me. Rose then practically runs over to me and tightly grabs my arm i was trying to hide. She sees I have been biting my nails again and slaps me in the face "WHAT have i told you about biting your nails you look disgusting!"

My father hears her of course and comes  downstairs and punched me in the face and i fall on the floor taking my hands to cover my face for somewhat protection. As i am getting kicked from all sides My vision becomes more and more blurry and my eyes sting from crying so much. soon i black out.

 When i wake up there is blood everywhere and i'm in my bedroom which has one small cupboard for my clothes the tiniest bathroom and a twin bed which is super uncomfortable cause it's all scratchy. 

As I regain my consciousnesses i  jump when i hear Seth (my older brother) say "Oh the poor thing is awake" near my door. I soon feel a sharp pain all through my body but mostly in my ribs. They were defiantly broken.  I look over to see him and he  has a terrifying smirk on his face. he came closer to my bed counting money in his hand saying "how you feeling? You look awful. ouch that has got to hurt"  in a deep voice. Like he cares.  i reach into my apron and  all my money was gone. I looked back at seth and knew he must have taken it. 

Seths POV

I was in my room playing video games and i heard my parents calling me down. I run downstairs thinking I am gonna get orders for my next mission as i come down i see Sarah on the floor badly beaten and I just chuckle. "What did she do this time?" I asked  

 "never mind that, we will tell you after. i need you to carry her to her bed and tell you something" My mother said. I nodded and lifted her up and carried her bridal style to her room which was right next to mine. I hear her heart beat fast and she grunted in pain. Smiling i put her down and see she has money stuffed into her apron. I grabbed the money and put it in my pocket and head downstairs. 

Rose and John said to me the plan on what will happen tomorrow night and I agreed I would help and then we celebrated with some wine and dinner. After dinner I decided to tease Sarah and stood by her door until she woke up. Once she woke up, I scared her and that made me smile. I loved seeing her scared. As i come closer i make it obvious i have money in my hands "how you feeling? You look awful. ouch that has got to hurt" I teased 

 she reahed into her apron and she went pale realizing her money was gone. Oh the look on her face was priceless i couldn't help but laugh."Why are you laughing? This isn't funny! that money is mine and i worked hard for it! " she yelled. Seeing her mad made me smile even more "Give it back seth" she begged me. 

Sarah's POV

I was in pain and furious Seth was actually laughing and smiling  and he took My money. " GIVE IT BACK" I yell but not to loudly so my parents don't hear. "Why should I? " Seth said. his sharp eyes hidden behind his brown dark hair. 

he was older then me only by 2 years but he was way taller then me at least 6 ft and i'm 5'4. I got up mad and still in pain i stood shakily and he raised his arm up holding my money taunting in in my face. "come and get it" he whispered.

 I tried and couldn't and i was still holding onto my broken ribs. I decied to kick him in his low part and he quickly fell on his knees. "You'll pay for that!" I backed up but he grabbed my arm tightly and I tried to fight him but he griped harder. He shoved my chest into the wall twisting my hand behind my back and holding my hair in a fist which hurt even more. I hissed in pain 

"you are a worthless pathetic little thing and you will be nothing, don't test me again" he lets go and i stay at the wall in to much pain trying to catch my breath and i see him leave slowly eyeing me down. Once he was gone i turned around on and sat on the floor to black out again.
