I dashed to the door as fast as I could: cheetah-sugar-rush Cameron is back! Pulling the door open, I grinned at the girl standing before me. "Hello!" She smiled, although looking a bit taken aback. "Hey, I'm Destiny. I moved in next door and I was just coming around to meet the neighbours."
"All of them?"
Destiny looked slightly confused.
"Well, yeah." She replied, confuzzled (@kobochlo, that one's for you!). I turned to the living room door.
"New neighbour! Stop being lazy!"
"I'm not lazy, I'm tired!" Ty yelled back.
"Just come here!"
"Never!" I smiled at his stubbornness. "Fine! I don't care!"
"I'm coming..."
Destiny smiled as team crafted somehow managed to fit into the hall.
(Lol! The guy in a song I'm listening to just said 'you are my Destiny'!)
She froze, her gaze falling on Adam and vice versa.
"Dee?" He looked shocked.
"Adam?" Her eyes widened.
"You guys know each other?" Jason asked. Adam nodded. "This is my sister, Destiny."
"Hi..." She said awkwardly (Even writing this is getting awkward...). "Awkwardness" I added under my breath. A silence of intense awkwardness stretched out. "I should probably go unpack..." Said Destiny, trailing off at the end. "I'll help." Said Ty with a smile. Adam shot him a 'stay-away-from-my-sister-or-I-will-destroy-your-soul' look. Well, it looked like that to me, anyway. Destiny smiled back at him, blue eyes shining. 'Thanks."
"I'll help too." Adam said.
"And me!" I announced, not wanting to be left out on stuff that could be fun.
Have you ever seen Ty try to flirt? Its hilarious. Especially with the way Adam keeps looking at him. "So, ever played minecraft?" He asked. Destiny smiled. "Yeah," she said, brushing her blonde hair away from her face, "I play quite a lot." The conversation ended again. "Destiny?" I called suddednly from behind a stack of boxes I was sorting. "Yeah?"
"Is your surname Dahlburg like Adam's?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"Can I call you Double D?"
"If I can call you Cazza."
"Deal."
We both laughed. Another person I could tell I would be friends with.
The unpacking took longer than we had anticipated. A lot longer. We had only started on the kitchen when we realised it was getting dark. And that I may not be nocturnal after all. "Cameron, I think you should go back now." Suggested Adam.
"But the chocolate side needs me!" I protested, fighting back a yawn. "I think you definitely need to get some sleep." Destiny said, looking a little concerned. "Actually, She's normally like that." Said Ty. "Exactly!" I cried triumphantly. "Maybe we should all go get some sleep." Advised Adam. The others nodded. As Destiny didn't have her bed stuff organised, it was agreed that she would stay in the geust room until it was sorted. "I don't need sleep. I'm nocturnal." I mumbled, falling asleep on the sofa as soon as we got inside.
