CHAPTER: 31

I opened my eyes and found myself standing in the midst of fire. The portraits turning into ashes and curtains catching the fire and the panic swelled within me, I looked around the castle which was once my home burning. Where is everyone else? My heart pounded as I looked around. I ran like crazy towards the door at the end of the hallway when my eyes caught the reflection of something. I stopped and my eyes caught the sight of dead bodies laying limp on the floor covered in blood.

My knees weakened when I saw there faces, that had turned dark as coal.

"Hyung!"
"Beomgyu!"

Tears slipped down my eyes the pang of sadness filled my heart. My entire world felt like crumbling.

"Soobin!" A voice called me out.
"SOOBIN!" Her aweet voice that snapped me out of the vortex of emotions.

I shot my eyes open as they quickly meet the dark crescent ones. Narae? Her hand gently tapped my skin before her puckered lips broke out in smile. Her cheeks flushed as she stared at me, the frown creasing her forehead disappearing.

"Thank god, you woke up," She as she pushes herself back. I push myself to sit up. It was dream! The scent of her phermones filling my lungs made my heart fall at ease. I stretched out my hand before she could move away, pulling her head close to mine. I pressed my lips against hers. Her body stiffened at the contact, but soon she allowed me in molding her lips with mine.

Before pulling away, her face flushed red and eyes narrowed glaring at me.
"Pervert!" She mutters under her breath. I smirked, "I can't help it. You smrll so ravishing,"

Blood rushed her cheeks. She looked away even in the darkness,I could see her flustered face. I removed the quilt as I set my feet on the floor.

"Here have some water!" I take the water from her hands gulping it all down in one go.
"How long was I out?" I asked ger massaging my temples. She sat next to the bed on her haunches.
"Two days,"
"Oh. . .TWO DAYS!" I exclaimed and she nodded with a grumpy look on her face. I slide on the floor sitting before her. She flinches slightly moving back but I grab her hand pulling her close to me.

"Where are you going? I took so much risks to come and meet you." I whispered in her ear. She narrows her eyes staring at me intensely.
"Aren't you afraid? My dad and brother are looking for the intruder like crazy, if they find you. . ." She said but I cut her off kissing her luscious lips.

"Soobin!"
"Yes!"
"Why are you being this way? Let me talk!"
"Then, talk who is stopping you?"
"Obviously you. Stop kissing me!!"
It won't happen, that's the punishment for not contacting me,"
"I had my reasons!"
"What reasons?"
"My phone broke and I didn't remember you phone number," She whimpers as I trail my lips down her neck.

My hands embraced her body as I hugged her tightly. Inhaling ber calming phermones there was someone else smell lingering on her. My nostrils flared at the thought of other alpha getting close to her. My wolf growled loudly causing one to escape from my mouth. Narae flinches, her hand firmly gripping my shoulder. I can even feel the presence inside the pack. Is there a outsider here as well?

"Wah! I never expected to you behave this grumpily just because I didn't meet you. Why behave like this when you don't even love me?" She asks her voice low and deep.

I raise my head staring into her eyes. She looked at me with a teasing glint in her eyes.

"Do you not like it that I don't love you?" I asked her, a obvious stupid question. She stiffens her eyes boring into mine. She laughs brightly her hand cupping my cheeks.

"Well, it does hurt a little but since you're handsome and sexy. I'll let it pass. In return let me love you." She whispered, her cheeks flushing red. Eyes glinting bright water blue colour.

"You love me?" I asked with a puzzled expression and she smiled.
"Yes, I do."
But why? The question lingers in my head.

She plants a kiss on top of my head. My head buzzing with this question. I did have my haunches. But, LOVING ME? Who simply took away her life bounded her soul to mine forever.

She gets off my lap sitting on the floor. Mischievous smile plastered on her face.  She got up from the place and waltz across the room. She opened the small fridge in the corner and took out a covered dish and walked to me.

"I just kept the food, so its not too cold," I got up walking towards her. She glances at the coffee table near the window asking me to sit down. I did so quietly, she puts the dish in front of me. Ready to move away, when I grabbed her wrist stopping her.

"Narae, I know loving you is something I can't ever do. I know what I have done has already bounded you to me. But, I promise I'll never let a single soul hurt you,"
"For that you've to be very powerful!" She said.

It felt like a child looking at the stars. Her eyes held galaxy in them, its not been too long. A few months but she looks mature much more mature than the time she left my penthouse. I brought her hand close to my mouth kissing them like a knight swearing the oath to protect his lady.

In these past days. My heart was anxious whenever she came in my mind. Her existence is not something that can be taken for granted cause her appearance itself states, that person is born again. She, who is born for that person goes through a lot of thorny path to become what they have become now.

Her eyes glowed water blue and mine turned red as I stared at her, her brown hair fluttering in the wind and the mark on her neck exposed.

I smirked, I have to be strong to protect you. You, who will take me to that person.
