Different than the others

chapter V - feelings & bullying

Toby, Daniela, Kai & Salem were talking about bullying, along with Mana and Sprout.
Until Arisa commented on Salem's looks but in a mean way, it seemed like she bullied her.

"Arisa! What is wrong with you?! You do know that Salem is sensitive, right?"
Kai said as Arisa just giggled and walked away, probably to go to the church.

"I think she's bullying me because she thinks I'm in love with Ethan.."

"Well, are you?" Daniela asked.

"What?! Come on..it's nothing like I like him in that way.."

Kai smirked and said to Salem;
"I'm your friend, Salem, you can also trust Toby, Daniela and the two children that they'll keep your secret safe."

Renee ran to them and was interested to know in that secret that Salem is hiding.

"Well, you see, I do like Ethan..it's just that if I confess to him Arisa might beat me up.."

"What?! You like him in that way?" Renee asked.

"Yes, I do. But what about Arisa..?"

Renee told Salem that they reported Arisa to Ethan and Kimi and they'll kick her out, after all, anyone who bullies somebody sensitive, like Salem, gets kicked out.

"Really..? I'm surprised that you guys like me..I feel welcomed.."

It was later that evening that Umi and Kimi retuned back, probably because there was something urgent for a few hours.

"Hey, so basically Arisa has been kicked out of the heroes. And I don't get why she would bully Salem?"
Kimi realized that Kai whispered something in Salem's ear.
"Are you gonna tell them?"

"Tell what?" Kimi asked.

"W-well, you see.."
Kai then said to Umi and Kimi that she likes Ethan in a romantic way.

"Ooh, I see that you like the leader." Umi said.

"L-leader..?!"
Salem was shocked, she didn't know that Ethan was the leader of the heroes, Kimi was the co-leader as everybody else were just heroes.

"Well, once Ethan retires maybe you can be the leader, Salem. I mean, you seem like a really good leader to me."
Kimi said.

"Aww! Thanks Kimi! You really didn't have to tell me that..!"
Salem replied as Kimi giggled.

For some reason, Kai had the feeling that Arisa might return to the base to murder Salem.
They felt panicked as Salem noticed that Kai looked petrified.

Kai told Salem about their fears of Salem dying because of Arisa murdering her. Salem laughed it off and told Kai;
"No worries! Maybe Ethan can teach me how to defend myself!"

Kai felt more calmer, maybe it will happen, maybe not.
