Chapter 5

Everyone started to get home cause it was already late. MK was the last one who was about to leave Sandy's house. "Hey wait here little buddy." MK turned and looked at Sandy. "I need to talk to you." MK doesn't know what's going on or what did he do wrong. "Yeah sure. What's up?" "Are you...okay, MK?" There was some worries in Sandy's voice and MK noticed that. "Yes I am. Why so worry?" Sandy was happy to hear that but was not totally convinced. "Well you didn't talk at all tonight and I saw you zoning out and thinking of something. It is worrying me." MK smiled then laughed. "Don't worry Sandy! I am fine. It's true I was thinking of something but it's nothing to worry about!" "You sure little buddy? You know you can talk to me if you need to." "Yes I know:)" MK looked outside and saw Pigsy waiting for him. "Well I'm going now and don't worry about it Sandy." Sandy smiled and nods his head in agreement. "Good night little buddy." "Night Sandy!" MK left Sandy's place with Pigsy.

"So you still wanna talk or you're going to leave?" Sandy asked. "I will leave now. I need to stay near MK." Said a voice. "Okay then. Have a nice night Mr. Maquack!" Sandy waved at Macaque. "Thanks. You too big guy." Then he disappeared in his shadow.

~Next day~

~At MK's house/apartment~

MK woke up with full of energy. And of course he is late. Oh no no no!!! I'm late again! He rushed himself into the shower, washed himself quickly then put his clothes on.

"OMG Pigsy! I'm sorry I'm lat-" MK stood there and saw Sandy defending Macaque who both are surrounded by Pigsy, Tang and Mei. "MK! Good thing you're here!" Mei said rushing herself to MK. "I think Macaque is manipulating Sandy!" Mei pointed at Sandy and Macaque. "Mei for the last time, Mr Maquack is not a villain anymore and he wants to change." Sandy showed them Macaque who stood there, looking at MK. MK doesn't fully trust Macaque after he manipulated him but he knows Sandy. Sandy isn't the guy who gets manipulated so easily so maybe he is right?

"Sandy, I will always trust you and your decisions." He said looking at Sandy. "If what you are saying is true..." He looked at Macaque who that one started looking at the floor. "Then he has to proof that he really wants to change." Everyone stays silent for a moment until Pigsy yelled, "Kid! Are you crazy?! He manipulated you, stole your power and helped that Lady Bone Demon!" MK knows that but like he said he trusts Sandy. "And? He did help us to defeat her right? And it's in the past now." Macaque looked at MK and was happy to hear that.

"So Macaque why do you suddenly want to change?" All of them gave a suspicious look until Tang ate his noodles and it made Macaque laughed. "Sorry! Sorry!...Well again sorry kid but it's kinda personal but all I can say is that I regret everything I did to you all in the past and I want to change that." He said rubbing his neck with a sad look. Pigsy, Tang and Mei aren't really convinced by that but they won't say anything. Sandy started to hug Macaque with tears. "It's so sad Mr Maquack!" Macaque looked surprised but immediately hugged back which clearly shocked the others. "It's okay big guy I'm used to people not trusting me soooo it's finnnneee." He looked confident but his voice changed when he said people not trusting him. MK felt kinda bad for him as he knows about his past with Monkey King. "Come on Macaque we have works to do!" Everyone looked at MK confused. "What work?" Macaque questioned. "Well your lessons of being a hero of course!" MK said with a bright smile. There was sparkles in Macaque's eyes and he immediately started walking to follow MK. Mei wanted to come too in case Macaque does something to MK but that one stopped him. "Stay with Sandy." "But!-" Mei was worried. "I want you to stay with Sandy. To see if anything change about him. If Macaque is manipulating him, send a signal immediately!" He said making sure for the others to not heard it. Mei was hesitating but Sandy is her friend and she doesn't want to let her friends in danger so she agreed. "But be careful! We don't know of what can he does!" Mei warned him. "Of course I will. I'm Monkie Kid after all!" They laughed and waved at each other.

"So where are we going?"

"Flower Fruit Montagne"

Macaque stopped walking and stood still with a terrified look.

"B-but kid uhm you know that me and Monkey King aren't really getting along..r-right?" His voice was shaking.

"I know but it's a good place and it's safe there."

Macaque didn't say anything. He wants to make up to MK and the rest so if it means that he had to go to his old home and sees his ex best friend then he will. "Well what are we waiting for? Let's go.."

MK didn't expect that respond but it's good Macaque didn't protest. They both went to flower fruit montagne by shape shifting into a bird. They arrived there in 10-15 mins and they even get a warm welcoming by the little monkeys. Some of them were dancing, some were jumping and some went up closer to them.

One little monkey jumped on Macaque and that one caught him. The little monkey was happy and started to hug Macaque. Macaque on the other hand was surprised by this sudden of jump and hug. But he hugged the little monkey back with tears rolling down his face. He made sure to not let MK sees him but eventually MK saw it. He was happy that Sandy didn't make a wrong choice. After that warm welcoming, they both went to a very high montagne so that MK can see the city from there even if it's pretty far.(P.s Mei dragon power can be seen from there)

"So...what's my first lesson?" Macaque asked and he looked uncomfortable. I mean of course he would be. He is at his old home. Coming back after years must be painful for him. MK felt bad again for him but it was the best choice he had.

"Well I'm sure that you know that a hero needs to fight bad guys right?"

"Yeah I mean I was a bad guy"

"Like you said 'you were' and that was in the past now you're becoming a hero!" MK smiled.

"Yeah" Macaque also smiled.

"Anyways! A hero doesn't only mean that you have to protect the city it also means to protect those who you love! Even people who hate you, you have to protect them."

"But why? If they hate you then you shouldn't waste your time to protect them."

"Yeah but everyone deserves to live! So if we don't protect people who hate us then we are not good heroes and more people will start to hate us."

"Huh.." Macaque was listening carefully to everything MK is saying. "I never thought of that."

"It's okay now I'm teaching you!-"

"MK!!!!" A loud noise disturbed MK and Macaque and both know who that was.

"Heyyyy....Monkey King!...." MK said while protecting Macaque behind him.

Jesus! I was about to continue writing when I saw how many words I reached! I'm already at 1279 words!!! Damn;-; anygays! I hope you will like chapter 5 because chapter 6 is gonna have some shadowpeaches (˵ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°˵) hehehehehe!!
