(A/N: If anyone's confused, when I title a chapter with a specific name, it typically means that the point of view is not that of the main character, Sofia. Just in case it was confusing!)
Chapter Five-Kristopher
I could taste her in the air surrounding me; she was everywhere. There was no way to get away from her scent; it permeated the ground I walked on, the air I breathed in through flaring nostrils. It, she, was everywhere. I smiled, walking towards the door that separated her from I. Today, I’d claim her as my own. Whether she wanted to be or not, she would be mine. She was made for me, and neither of us could deny it. My mark would claim her as my own mate, and she could start her life anew. Forget about his pain that filled her, threatened to overflow her carefully constructed walls. The box she had put this fear and pain in would become smaller, shrinking until it was gone. And all that would be left would be me. Grinning, I opened the door, moving into the room in a slow, calculated way. Perhaps she would see me stalking her, and know that the fight was over. That she was meant to be mine, and we could go about our lives and about this process in a normal way. Sensually and seductively.
No, it wasn’t possible. How could I have not seen it? How could I have missed the fact that her scent was growing faint already? She was gone, and the small window to her room was closed as if in finality. No. I will find her and make her mine! Run faster, Sofia. I’m coming for you.
My paws were pounding into the ground, leaving an easy trail, but my thoughts were elsewhere. She was out here, in the woods surrounding my home. Lifting my head, I let out a howl. Groaning inwardly, I raced towards her, following, until I found her in a clearing near the center. My pack waited, sitting silently in the brush around the woods. It was not their place to get involved anyway. She was mine to take. Coming out of the sheltering trees, I stood before her in all my glory. I could feel the sweat pouring down my body. Smirking, I watched as her gaze lowered, and she followed the dark line of hair from my chest to my being. Her eyes were full of fear, but lust lay dormant. And her smell gave her away. She wanted me.
“You’re mine, Sofia, even if you don’t want to be,” I said harshly. She wouldn’t get away from me that easily. She had already thrown my body after so little time spent writhing on the ground with her. It had made the chase worthwhile, to say the least. My body wanted, as did my wolf. And I wasn’t one of those men who denied their wolf what it wanted. It wanted for a reason, so why deny it? I could feel my eyebrows knot on my forehead, and I stared openly at the beautiful body Sofia displayed. A small growl escaped her lips, and she was gone, running through the forest. Running doesn’t sound right…weaving. She wove through the forest. And I was hot on her tail; midair and I shifted, feeling my wolf free itself from the confines of my body. I howled in exuberance. She was so close! And then I was on top of her, flinging her body to the ground. She hit the ground with a soft thud; thankfully the moss cushioned the blow. I had flipped her over onto her back before I had even realized it, finding her staring up at me with those beautiful, stormy eyes.
Losing control, I crushed her lips against mine, feeling her writhe beneath me. God, she was beautiful! We moaned together, and I moved my mouth from hers to move down her neck and further, then back up. I couldn’t help where this was going. My wolf wanted to claim her, and I couldn’t deny that the idea was more than pleasing. With a groan, I growled at her, “You are mine, Sofia. You have been since the first time you stepped foot into my territory. You were made for me, and I will have you!” Without thinking about the consequences, I leaned into the crook of her neck, grazing my teeth on her soft skin. And then I bit, tasting her blood in my mouth; reeling. I was reeling, and she was screaming, and then moaning. I couldn’t see! Everything was so dark, except for her; she glowed a bright white, near blinding. I could only feel pleasure; her pleasure, it poured through my body, soaked my skin, made me howl. Our fingers intertwined made this so, and I moaned her name again as I felt hands on my body. They moved us apart gently; the women took her away from me, and the men took me from her. I let out a growl, meaning to run at the women surrounding her. But I was in no condition to fight, and as another climax caught Sofia in its grips, I felt her release, and I was gone. Everything was gone. I was just Sofia, and she was just me. We were one and the same, as it would be forever more.
I woke to the feeling of cool sheets underneath my body, and the faint scent of Sofia clinging to the air around me. I wanted her as I had never wanted another, and the pieces of this night came flooding back to me as her scent engulfed me. Our hands clasped; my mark upon her; her screams. Her moans. I bolted upright, my head reeling as I listened to the sound of her heavy breathing. Opening my eyes, I looked around the curved room and sighed. She was mine; I had claimed her, and she couldn’t run from me anymore. I would find her wherever she ran. Moving from the soft bed, I rolled my shoulders, aching in all the right places. A run like tonight was the reason I ran in the first place.
Grinning, I lay back down on the bed, rolling to face Sofia who lay curled on the other side of the bed. Her deep breathing let me know that she was asleep, and I sighed in contentment. I moved closer to her body, stretching out my hand to run my finger-tips along her cheek. She sighed, moving closer to my body, and I curled around her, facing her as I watched her brows furrow, and then smooth out. I wanted her to feel safe around me, and I moved closer, leaning into her face to place a kiss on her smooth forehead. Sofia, my Sofia.
