*Narrator POV*
It was the next day of school where Izuku would just spend the day alone doing his work and what not. Today he was going to meet the guy All Might told him about and he couldn't wait. The day was normal besides the addition of the old 1-A students that got transferred down to his class. The day went on normally with Izuku couldn't help but feel someone was watching him especially during lunch. Kind of creeped him out but he ignored it.
Soon it was the end of the day and Izuku was walking out the front gate of UA heading towards the train station to go see the trainer. As he rounded the corner he swore he heard running behind him so in confusion he turned around and stopped. The next thing he knew someone rammed into him at full speed knocking him on the ground as he felt the person land on him and yelp in pain.
Izuku opened his eyes with confusion and met chocolate brown eyes that stared back with the same confusion. It slowly clicked in Izuku's head what happened and then alarm bells rang in his head as he felt something soft and bouncy on his chest. Izuku erupted red along with the girl as she realized what was happening. They separated in a flash and bowed deeply to other screaming sorry to each other in embarrassment. The brown haired girl looked up first and instantly recognized that messy forest green hair.
???: It's you!
Izuku: Huh?
Izuku looked up finally getting a good look of the girl and recognized her as the nice girl from the entrance exams. Izuku coughed into his hand so his voice didn't crack as he stood up straight, he wanted to change and to prove that; he needed to accomplish his scariest goal. Talking to a girl.
Izuku: Oh, y-your the nice girl from the entrance exam. Sorry I never got your name.
Uraraka: (Giggle) It's okay if anything I should be sorry. I never got the name from the boy that saved me. Ochaco Uraraka. (Extended her hand)
Izuku: (Chuckle) Izuku Midoriya. (Accepted the Handshake)
Uraraka: Want to walk to the station together? I want to get to know my savior a little better.
Izuku: S-sure. Line A?
Uraraka: Yep. Oh we can talk on the train until our stops.
The two started walking together as Uraraka kept asking questions while Izuku awkwardly answered and asking his own.
Uraraka: So Midoriya-san what class are you in?
Izuku: Um 1-D. You?
Uraraka: Huh? Isn't that the General Education class. I thought you would be in the other hero course at least! What happened?!
Izuku: Oh. They said I wasn't worth the time and would basically just be in the way. So, I assume you made it in.
Izuku was scared to look at her since he knew she was probably looking at him with 'pity' once again. He knew if he ever told his tale that would probably be the only thing he'll ever get but he risked it and looked to Uraraka. To his surprise she wasn't even looking at him but instead had turned around and was starting to walk ack to UA with a look of pure fury.
Uraraka couldn't believe it, UA the HERO school told her savior that he wasn't cut to be a hero after they watched him save her in a HERO entrance exam. To her it was like they were punishing someone for saving people, for saving her! That she could not accept.
Izuku: Um Uraraka-san where are you going?
Uraraka: I'm going straight to the staff to complain-NO straight to the principal! This is bullshit!
Izuku's eye widened and he ran after grabbing her wrist and stopping her in her tracks. Uraraka looked back and saw Izuku staring at her with a soft smile. Slightly, just slightly her heart throbbed a little. Izuku let go of her wrist as he had her attention.
Izuku: Please don't. I appreciate the gesture but I don't want you getting in trouble just because of me. Plus think of this wouldn't it be so much cooler when I become a hero and prove all those people wrong.
Uraraka's eyes widened as she looked at the determined gentle look on Izuku's face. She closed her eyes and sighed as she couldn't stop the smile from forming on her face.
Uraraka: It really would, wouldn't it?
The two smiled at each other as they walked back to the station talking all the while. Just making small talk laughing at old stories they told mostly Uraraka's stories as Izuku didn't want to talk about it that much. They entered the train sitting together as they continued to talk about random junk like favorite foods, hobbies and stuff like that. Uraraka had just finished talking about her schoolwork so far saying it sucked and they hadn't done anything hero related yet.
Izuku: I'm actually heading to train with a old hero who should help me with my quirk. I'm supposed to go everyday after school.
Uraraka: (Worried) What about your homework won't you fall behind?
Izuku: Heh. Well I don't have really any friends so I planned on just doing it during lunch.
Uraraka's looked down in sadness but a small blush came on her face as she came up with an idea.
Uraraka: You know I don't really have any friends either so, how about we have lunch together?
Izuku blushed brightly but nodded in acceptance as they sat in an different type of awkward silence. Not long after the train stopped signaling their stop. They both left the train together and walked awhile it didn't take long for them to realize Uraraka and the new trainer lived on the same street. Actually it turned out the trainer lived in the building next to Uraraka's apartment.
Izuku told Uraraka good bye as he walked to the door and knocked. After a few minutes the door opened to reveal a small old man in pajamas? No wait it's a just a old hero costume. Izuku looked at the old man with confusion as he wasn't expecting this at all.
???: Who are you?
Izuku: Izuku Midoriya! The one All-I mean my master called you about.
???: Who?
Izuku: 'Oh no is he gone?' Um you are Gran Torino right?
GT: Dang Tooting! So who were you again?
Izuku: Um sorry I have to make a call.
Izuku turned around and took out his phone but Gran Torino was in front of him. Before Izuku could even make a sound Torino kicked him into the house and slammed the door shut. Izuku looked in fear as the old man did a complete 180 in personality as he smirked devilishly at Izuku.
GT: So how much can you control?
Izuku: NONE! PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!
GT: Oh don't worry about that kif. You're just going to wish I do.
Izuku gulped as Gran Torino began to explain the mechanics of OFA.
GT: OFA as you know is a quirk that can be passed on and grows stronger with time. To the point I can barely recognize it anymore from when my friend the 7th user had it. Before it was simple you had it improve it and move on but now it needs to be reeled in. Controlled due to the overwhelming power it has so that's what we're going to be doing before I let you out on the streets. First, we need to find the perfect visualization in order for you to draw out the quirk without killing yourself and control your output. Until then it's just survival for you boy.
For the next 4 hours Izuku got the living shit beat out of him. And this will be his life until Gran Torino thought he was ready.
