Ch.37 Stay Away

*Narrator POV*

*Immediately after the last chapter*

Izuku raised an eyebrow at Ochaco's declaration, he scanned around him seeing they all trying to circle him into a perimeter. Most likely so they could try and capture him if he tried to run. Well, it's not like they could stop him anyway.

Izuku: Really? Please don't make this harder than it has to be, just head back. It won't be long until this is all over.

Ochaco: Will that be because you'll finish this or you'll be dead, ending this fight for us?

Izuku didn't answer as he began to power up.

Izuku: Stay out of my way. We're not even together anymore, you don't have to worry about me anymore, any of you. I'm fine.

Ochaco looked more annoyed with that than hurt as she let out a little growl.

Ochaco: You dumb piece of...(sigh) I don't care if you think you can just send me a letter, and say everything that we've been through was for nothing. Because all that was not for nothing, to me it was everything. So, if you want to end this then just tell me right now to my face.

Izuku didn't say anything but just stared at her with sadness, the other girls looked at him as well. Yet he kept his eyes on her, it was always just her. He never wanted to say it due to how he was, but it was always her.

Izuku: Please.

Ochaco: You're coming back.

Izuku sighed as he wrapped Black Whip tighter around his hanging arm.

Izuku: Fine. Let's make a deal, if you can stop me from reaching the end of this street I'll go back with you. I won't run just walk, deal?

Shoto: You're underestimating us, Midoriya.

Izuku: And you all are overestimating yourselves and underestimating AFO and Shigaraki. I'm the only one that stands a chance against them. Leave them to me, that's all I ask. So deal or no deal?

Ochaco: Fine.

Izuku began walking down the street releasing smokescreen in waves until it covered the whole street and more. Baugo countered the smoke screen but immediately got batted into a building by a black tendril shocking everyone.

Izuku: Never said I wasn't going to fight back.

Shoto sent a wave of icicles at Izuku but he just used a tendril to pick up some concrete blocking the icicles. Using the distraction Tooru tried to sneak up on Izuku but a tendril just whacked her in the stomach launching her back, hard enough to distract her but not hurt her. Yet, he didn't stop no matter what they threw at him.

Ojiro throwing combos at him? Blocked by a tendril until getting slapped into a car. Monoma trying to touch him? A slab of pavement was thrown at him. Shoto unleashing a glacier? Shattered into a million pieces. Pony sending horns? Caught and destroyed. Do you get the picture?

Mirko crashed in front of Izuku and started throwing kicks which Izuku dodged with little effort as he continued to shuffle forward. Mirko grew frustrated and threw a haymaker which was caught by a tendril allowing Izuku to land a punch in her abdomen much stronger than what he'd done since. He needed her to stay down. Izuku continued his march with the others still trying to stop him now it was just 100 yards away.

Nejire: Izuku! Stop, please! You can barely walk anymore.

Izuku: But I'm still walking. Why do you care anymore or the rest of you girls? She's dead you don't have to be near me anymore, I made sure of that.
