"Wake up, sleepyhead." I felt a gentle nudge against my arm as I groggily gained consciousness.
It was Padmé, who had to retain herself from cackling at my bemused state.
Me, Padmé, and Anakin had retreated to a decently pleasant little lounge corner, which basically consisted of pillows and blankets.
I forced myself to sit upright, regrettably removing my head from Padmé's comfortable shoulder.
The only reason why I wasn't starving to death because of my own stubbornness right now, was that Padmé offered me to try some of her food. It was actually somewhat tasty.

"Uh- Have we arrived?" I blinked as an attempt to adapt my eyes to the bright and booming noises coming from the fellow travelers.
The blond Jedi apprentice blond hair sat across from me as he sent me an amused smirk. "Yeah, we're here."
Those four words caught my attention. I quickly sat up right, anxiously scanning my surroundings. Sure enough, our fellow travelers had started to prepare for landing.

The fast pace at which our ship had been travelling, moderately came to a smooth standstill.

We had exited the aircraft as soon as it landed.    After gathering our belongings, we made our way over to the breathtaking palace.

When the first breeze of Nabooian wind had hit my face and I took my first breath of air, my body was completely befallen by an overwhelming sense of joy.
There was something very peculiar and specific about the atmosphere on this planet. It was an unexplainable feeling. It was almost like the air on Naboo was sacred, or of higher quality, in a way.

Anakin nobly took it upon himself to carry the heavy luggage, claiming that it would do him well with the absence of his training and all.
So, he rightfully found himself carrying two suitcases and a handbag up a flight of stairs.
He didn't show any signs of struggle, though.

I lifted the hem of my layered dress just enough to walk up the steps of a beautiful bridge-like structure on the way to the royal palace, as Padmé opened another conversation. "I wasn't the youngest queen ever elected," She started. "But now that I think back on it, I'm not sure I was old enough."

The subject had managed to catch my recognition, as it was not something she cared to speak of very often.

Me and Anakin both turned our heads to look at her. I stood in between her and Anakin, and  our loyal droid tottered after us.

"I'm not sure I was ready." She stated.

"The people you served thought you did a good job." Anakin said thoughtfully.
I recognized his words as a good-natured attempt to cheer her up, but knowing Padmé, they weren't the words she wished to hear. "I heard they even tried to amend the constitution so you could stay in office."

"I was relieved when my two terms were up." She added as a response.

"I understand your feelings, Padmé." I stated, shifting the attention to me. "Such a stressful duty must've taken a great toll on you at such a young age."

"That's precisely it." She twinkled.

We were nearing our destination as we walked through an outdoor hall, giving us a stunning view of the courtyard. "But when the queen asked me to serve as senator," Padmé began. "I couldn't refuse her."

"I agree with her. I think the Republic needs you." Anakin gazed out at our magnificent surroundings.

"Me too. I'm glad that you chose to serve, Padmé" I beamed up at her.
