Finally, all of us came together in a huddle. I could see the smiles on everyone's faces.
"Alright. Yeah!" I heard Rocky say after Billy chuckles. I laugh, this was so much fun.
"All right, guys! Break!" Tommy yelled as we broke from the huddle. We all pulled the strings to the parachutes making the colors of pink, red, blue, black, yellow, purple, and finally white roam the skies. I watched as all of my friends landed in the target on the ground the order of Adam, Billy, Kimberly, Rocky, then Aisha. Then it was my turn.
"Right after Aisha is Andrea Bartley! Will she do it?" I hear the Announcer as I go to land. " And she does it's a perfect six out of six landing. A 1986 record. " I ran off the target as Tommy starts his way down. I could hear the announcer. "Now it's all up to Tommy Oliver. Can he make it seven for seven?"
"Yeah! Go Tommy!!" I hear Fred Kelman yell. I look up after taking off my parachute and see Tommy nearing the target.
I hope he does it. I think. I watched as Tommy gets closer and closer before he hits the bullseye.
"And he does! The Angel Grove team sets a new city record! Way to go guys!" The Announcer yells. I watched as Fred and his dad run over to Tommy and I make my way over smiling as I hear their conversation
"Maybe next time you could join us." Tommy offers to Fred. I could see the excitement in Fred's eyes after he says those words.
"Really? Could I" He asks his dad. Mr. Kelman looked hesitant and answered his son,
Yeah, well, we'll talk about that, Fred...in about 10 or 12 Years." He answered Fred. Then he turned to us and spoke "Congratulations, You two. They observatory just got a new lease on life."
"Yeah. Thanks, man." Tommy says politely.
"Thanks, Mr. Kelman." I say, smiling at him. Then I looked over at Fred and could see his excitement bubbling over.
"Awesome, Ryans's Comet is passing over in two days." He says, with a big smile. I hear the other Rangers come over when I notice someone, or should I say two someone's missing.
"Hey, has anyone see Bulk and Skull?" I sked the others. They looked around and Aisha replied
"Ernie's is having free dessert with lunch. They probably landed on the roof." We all laughed not knowing the evil that will be opened up a few moments later.
