I groan in pain as I open my eyes slowly. Where the hell am I? I glance around quietly to find myself on the floor of an abandoned house . Sitting on the couch in Elena. She's talking to a man and a woman. My small movements cause the two stranger's heads to snap in my direction. In a quick second, the man speeds over, wrapping his hands around my neck. I attempt to throw him across the room using magic, only noticing the magic canceling cuffs around my wrist now. Well, shit. I claw at his wrist in desperate breathes and I hear Elena scream. Finally, my lungs run out of air and the world becomes a haze. With that, it all just fades away

I turn slightly at the feeling of something run against my arm. When it does it again, I open my eyes to see a small rat sniffing me. "Aah," I scream," scooting back quickly. "Shoo," I hiss, kicking at it. Catching the memo, the rat scurries off in the opposite direction. Confirming that I truly am here alone, I pull a bobby pin from my hair and bend it into a zig zag shape. Easily picking the lock on my cuffs, I stand up wobbly. Letting my fingers run across the probable bruise on my neck, I hiss in pain. Damn vampire. I walk around the couch, stumbling back in fear of a decapitated body. The head of the vampire that choked me not far from it. I look around for the woman to not see her here. Did she betray him or did someone do this to her. Oh my god. Is this Elena's doing. If not, how dare that bitch leave me here. I walk past the body and into the foyer, my eyes widening at the sight of a suited man leaning against the door. "What the hell happened here?" I mutter to myself. Out of nowhere, the man gasp awake, pulling the stake from his chest. Letting out a loud startles scream, my hand flies up in pure reflex.

My magic holding the man against the door. "How the hell are you not dead?" I ask, taking a few steps back. "Calm down," he says in a British accent, obviously struggling and failing to fight against my hold. My other hand raised a broken coat hook in the hair in defense. Just in case he escapes. "Answer the question," I order, obviously still scared. "I'm an original," he says, my hold tightening against him. "A what now?" I ask in confusion. "One of the Earth's first vampires. Therefore, I cannot be killed," he tells me. "Now, would you let me go?" He ask. "Not until I'm as far away from this place as possible. I wake up in an abandoned house with my captures head thrown across the room. His accomplice is long gone and I'm not stupid. So, either the girl betrayed him or he was just a delivery man. And judging by that nice suit of yours, I'm guessing your the big boss. Once you arrived, you killed off your witness meaning either the girl escaped or her corpse is somewhere around this estate. And to make it worse, Elena had the nerve to leave me for dead. So no, I'm not going to let you go," I rant in all seriousness.

The man looks at me with a raised brow before speaking again. "Look, Treavor said you were just collateral damage. You were not meant to be caught up in this at all. I mean you no harm," he reasons. Collateral damage? For some reason, I find offence to those words. "And I'm supposed to believe you because?" I scoff.

"I don't just go around killing teenagers unless they're a threat to me or my family," he says in a promising tone. For some strange reason, I decide to trust him. With a hesitant huff, I drop him to the floor. He quickly does his best to fix his suit, ignoring the giant bloody hole in his chest. "You can drop the stake. I won't hurt you," he sighs, pointing to the still raised coat hook in the air. "Not a chance in hell," I tell him, causing him to chuckle. I walk past him warily, and make my way through the large double door. My eyes widen at the sight of only field.

"Oh great, I'm in the middle of nowhere," I wine angrily. Stomping my foot softly, I pull my extremely thin jacket around my body as a cool breeze passes by. Looking down at my heels and jeans, I huff. I am not in walking material. I'm just happy I'm not wearing a dress considering I was kidnapped at an annual masquerade ball thrown at the mayors house every year. I was hanging out in the upstairs bedroom with my best friend and the mayors son, Tyler, so I decided not to dress up. I step off of the stone porch, when the man's voice behind me speaks. "Need a ride?" He ask, walking up to his Lincoln MKZ. "Not from you," I hiss, walking past him. "Mystic Falls is a three hour drive away. You won't get there for at least a day in a half," he says, causing my eyes to widen. "You know, this is all your fault. I didn't even see your guys snatch Elena up so why the hell was I kidnapped as a witness?" I snap. "I never said Trevor was the smartest of the bunch," he points out. "Obviously," I grumble. I silently march over to his car, climbing into the passenger seat. He gets in the car with a winning smirk on his face, causing me to roll my eyes.
