Your POV

I felt like I was underwater.

My lungs burned, while the rest of me was frozen to the point of being numb. My eyelids were glued shut and my body felt as if it was floating, peacefully. There was an odd calmness that filled my mind. Nothing but a cloudy mind plagued my thoughts. I felt safe, comfortable, content.

However, soon everything began coming back to me. The boys wallowing in self pity, the game Max made up, spying on billy, the screams. The terrible screams.

My eyes shot open. Darkness surrounding me, the only things proving that my eyes were open were the air bubbles escaping my nose. I looked up, seeing the surface of the water. I began to swim upwards, a terrible feeling of melancholy settling in the pit of stomach. My hand shot up, waiting for it to break through the surface.

But it didn't.

I felt the tips of my fingers hit a hard barrier, pain shooting through my hand as my fingers crumpled into a fist. My hand shot back, a couple of air bubbles escaping my mouth as I winced. Panic pursing through my body, I began to pound on the barrier. My fists hurting more and more from the impact. Screams erupted from my throat, but they were muffled by the water. I screwed my eyes shut, letting another painful scream, my throat feeling like it was ripping.

When I reopened my eyes, feeling defeated, another yell wracked my body. However, this time it wasn't because I was stuck, it was because someone was looking down at me. Her features were blurry, I could tell she had tan skin and black hair, but the only thing I could see clearly were her piercing yellow-green eyes. She was familiar, and I couldn't quite place where I had seen her. She began to hit the barrier with her fists, her wide doe like eyes filled with concern.

Suddenly, I felt something pulling me down and the small shreds of hope that I had gained from seeing the girl quickly fled. I looked down, seeing a dark vine wrapped around my ankle. My heart was thumping so loudly I could hear it echo around me. I looked back up, giving the girl a pleading look, as she begun to pound harder, a small crack beginning to grow larger and larger.

Finally, her hand broke through, I reached out as far as I could. Our finger tips brushed, I tried to reach higher stretching out in an uncomfortable position. Her hand wrapped around mine and she started pulling. I felt the vines let go of my ankles, and the numbness that I had felt while under the water lift as I broke through the surface.

I pulled myself up, my finger nails scratching at the area around me. When I was finally on stable ground I looked around. I bit my lip, hard, to distract myself from the stinging cuts on my knuckles. However, I quickly became distracted by something else.

The girl had vanished.

I scrambled to my feet, spinning in circles looking for any sign of her.

"Hello!?" I yelled, wincing at the soreness of my throat. "Are you there!? Please come out!" When I got no response, I began to worry. "Who are you!? Hello!? HELLO!?

"Y/n." Jane's voice rang out around me.

I brought my hands up to my head, pulling at the roots of my soaking wet hair. "HELLO?! PLEASE! I NEED TO KNOW WHO YOU ARE?"

"N/n! Wake up!"

"NO! I CAN'T GO YET! ANSWER ME!"

"Y/n!" My eyes shot open, seeing Max hunched over me. "N/n, thank god you're okay!" She pulled me up hugging me and causing a spout of dizziness to hit me.

"Max, stop." Jane said, pulling the redheads shoulder slightly. "Somethings wrong."

My eyes were wide, my breathing heavy. And the two girls looked horrified as they watched me. I felt my hair, which had been dry, slump down on my head as cold water began to soak it. I hissed, looking down and watching as cuts slowly slit through my knuckles.

"What the hell?!" Max yelled, grabbing a tissue from the box on Jane's nightstand and furiously dabbing the blood off my hands. "What's going on?!"

"I... I don't know." I choked out, my voice being incredibly raspy.

"N/n.." Jane whispered. "What happened."

"I don't know!" A sob escaped my lips, fear pulsing through my veins. Jane pulled me into her arms, trying to comfort me.

Little did I know, she was even more scared than I was.

And, good lord, I was terrified.
