the years had passed by, 1 .. 2 ... 3 ... 4 ... maybe even 10 years ahead.

both you and sorbet, your boyfriend of many long yet beautiful years, were now celebrating the anniversary.

ever since the two of you were small children, traveling alongside Ice and Peppermint, now teenagers who were somewhat more mature than before, looking back on how you two had met.

it almost brung a tear to your eye at how long it's been since then, and how the two of you managed to be stable after so long.

coming to terms with your father was an interesting experience, pirate cookie was... unexplainable, was it positive? negative? maybe even both?
oh, that's right, your stereotypical overprotective dad, but he of course in the end, learns to accept and love his son in law like no other.

you and sorbet decided to move in together in an apartment in a relatively decent sized part of the main city, nearby the beach of course to watch after the pirates who come and crash at the place every now and again.

tonight was meant to be special, only between the two of you.

it was 6 pm...

talking with sorbet about potential date ideas, where to go and what to do...
you decided the best place was to a nice, fancy restaurant.
sorbet wanted to go do something fun, entertaining, like a skating rink or an arcade center.

putting some thought into it.
a skating rink it was.

the two of you head out to go to the nearest skating rink, getting everything situated before stepping in..
while you didn't seem to have a problem putting on the skating boots and standing up, of course with the help of the handle bars beside.
sorbet was having trouble, while he did seem to get the boots part right, he simply had no balance.

while he was about to fall over, you had made your way over to catch him before his head hits the floor.
looking down at your boyfriend, the two of you did nothing but laugh.
laugh so much you yourself had almost lost balance.

after about 2 minutes of a laughing fit, cookies around looking over at the both of you in confusion.
entering the rink, holding onto the handle bars on the side, sorbet clinged himself onto you, having to tell him to let loose because you might end up falling, he can't help but tug a little on the jacket you were wearing.

after a bit of getting used to everything, you effortlessly skated around the rink as sorbet watched you move.
standing on the sidelines now since his balance has been proven on several occasions to be completely garbage bin material, he couldn't help but say to himself.

"what a miracle.."
