first kiss

chapter 1

adora was driving. glimmer was next to her. bow and catra were in the back.

"adora, do you know where we're going?" glimmer asked.

"yes in fact, i do. there's this field i've been wanting to take you guys to! it's so beautiful, especially now, when the sun is setting!!"

catra chuckled. "always the romantic."

glimmer and bow gave each other a look between 'you've gotta be kidding me' and 'isn't it obvious that you guys BOTH like each other??'

adora blushed then replied, "ok and what about it? huh?"

catra didn't respond.

"we're here!!!" adora screamed.

"uh, adora, that sign says no trespassing." bow said.

"yeah and?? that's what makes it fun! besides, the company who owns it is broken down. i go by this field all the time. there's never ANYONE here." adora answered.

"i wanna go! sounds fun! sparkles?" catra asked.

bow snatched glimmer by her arm and brought her over to the side.

"glimmer, if we let them go together-"

"romantic setting, romantic feelings- oh my gosh! yes!!" glimmer responded.

bow nodded.

"what was that about?" adora asked.

"oh nothing, we both think that it's a bad idea to trespass. you two should go. together. alone." glimmer smirked.

catra and adora both glanced at each other and blushed.

adora chuckled nervously, "alrighty then let's go!" breaking the awkward silence.

catra and adora both carried onto the path through the trees. while glimmer and bow stayed behind.

"i bet i can beat you." catra said.

"is that a challenge?" adora replied.

they both sprinted across the path that leads to the hilltop. both attempting to catch their breaths, catra slips out, "i won!"

adora groaned."no way!!! i clearly won" i was like a mile ahead of you!"

"psh yeah right!!" catra replied.

they both looked up at the same time and their eyes met. "hey adora." catra replied. 

adora studders,"h-hi."

"what's the matter? cat got your tongue?" catra teased.

"n-no, what?! i'm fine." adora replied.

"okay then." catra smirked.

they both stared at the sunset.

"it's so beautiful." catra said.

"just like you." adora added.

"what?" catra questioned.

"what?" adora mocked.

catra hummed and laid her head on adora's shoulder and adora wrapped her arm around catra's waist.

this was just about the time the stars and the moon were starting to show, but it wasn't quite dark out yet because the sun was still setting. adora gazed over at catra. her freckles reminded her of the stars. she grinned. the two girls made eye contact.

"can i kiss you?" catra asked.

"yes." adora said without hesitation.

the kiss was passionate until adora pulled away and stared into catra's eyes.
