chapter eight

Its been a while since my mother's passing an do haven't been talking to anyone but Taylor and Eliza I've ghosted everyone else. My brother is having a hard time as well from her passing

I wake up the next morning and get ready for work and go downstairs to see my brother already awake "your awake? It's only 6 in the morning" he looked at me "I've been up all night" he shrugs "I can't sleep" I walk over and hug him "I know it's hard. Will you be okay while I'm gone?"

He nods "of course I will" I walk out and go to work and start working in my office and Jacob walks in byt I try to ignore him and he grabs my arm very tightly "stop ignoring me." I look at his hand grabbing my arm then him and smack him and he lets go of my arm "who the hell do you think you are?! You can't grab my arm like that." I accidentally said that a little to loudly and my boss runs over "keep your vo- what's going on here?" I look at her then Jacob "nothing.."

She looked at me very concerned "it didn't sound like nothing. You can tell me" Jacob looks at me and walks out of the room and I look at my boss and she looks at me back "is he hurting you?" I shake my head "No.. no he's not it was someone else but when they heard your heels they ran out" she looks at my arm "okay..." She walks out and I continue to work and through out the day

Jacob watches me and I just try to ignore him.
