I sat at my desk looking through emails, I paused hearing a knock at the door.

"Come in!" I yelled averting my attention to the person entering, I relaxed seeing Ava.

"Good afternoon Mr.Kassiuni." She said as she closed the door behind her and walked up to my desk sitting down.

"Goodmorning Ava. What's on my schedule?" I asked leaning back into my seat as I started to look over her attire.

I noticed today she looked different. Dressed in the same attire, but she looked different. I studied her face as she talked, not listening to a word she was saying. All I saw were her lips moving and her voice was faint.

Lashes... she had on lashes today. I smiled as I figured it out.

"And you have another one lat-"

I cut her off mid-sentence "You have on lashes today?" I asked tilting my head slightly.

She looked at me confused before nodding "Yeah, I don't know. I decided to try something new today."

I smirked knowing why she decided to try something new "Why? Because Si'aan is coming today?" I asked referring to my homeboy. I always knew she had a crush on him, she'd be shyer than she usually is when he came around.

That's why I hired her. She was shy but was a woman who got shit done no matter what. Ava always stayed on her A game, she also carried herself well and was respectful.

At first, I thought she was going to end up being one of those types...constantly throwing herself at me and disrespecting what I say, but she was the complete opposite.

That's why I didn't mind getting out of my comfort zone here and there, we'd joke a lot, I'd even buy her lunch and we would eat in my office and talk. I saw her as a friend. That didn't stop us from getting serious when needed. Ava knew when it was time to play and get serious.

"Nooooo." She started blushing

I started laughing "You got a crush on his ass, don't you? I'm not slow, you know I notice shit."

She huffed "You weren't even listening to anything I said about things you had to get done today."

"Not you trying to deflect and shit." I chuckled leaning up and grabbing the computer out of her hand but she quickly snatched it back.

"That's my job, thank you very much. Have a seat, I'm not a free woman, we are on a schedule." She said as she motioned for me to sit.

"Shit you better be when I'm paying you." I mumbled sitting back down.

She laughed before clearing her throat causing me to smile "Anyways, Ms.Azai agreed on dinner. I already arranged her flights and everything of that sort. You also have three meetings this a-."

She was cut off once again, but this time by my alarm.

I grabbed my phone "Well won't you look at that shit. Lunchtime." I smiled while standing up, straightening out my suit.

"I'm not even done talking." She fussed as I started to walk out. I held the door open waiting for her to exit before I followed.

I then started to make my way to the elevator nodding respectfully at anyone I passed on the way.

"We can discuss it over lunch." I said as I waited for her to get onto the elevator. I watched as she got in and then pressed the button that held the elevator.
