Just Best Friends?

Chapter 1

I was best friends with Hayes Grier; yes the Hayes Grier. Magcon, Digitour, United26tour. He was becoming more famous by the second.
Me on the other hand, well I am typical 14 year old girl. Light brown hair, hazel eyes, about 5"4. Nothing special really, I played volleyball and soccer at Davidson Day School.
My mom went to college with Elizabeth (Hayes mom) and you had always live a couple of houses down from the Griers. Me and Hayes used to do everything together. We would go over each other's houses almost everyday after school.
Of course then Vine happened, the first year Hayes was on Vine you still hung out; not as much as you used to, but it was better than nothing.
But when the second year came he was always on tour or at events so I didn't see him often.
I had always had feelings for him; but as I got older they got stronger. I figured that he would never go for you. He has millions of girls chasing him. There was no good reason for him to choose you. So you continued on with regular life and hoped for the best.

I was home alone and got a call from the Griers. "Wow that hasn't happened in a while."you thought to yourself as you picked up the home phone.
"Hello"

"Hi sweetheart! How are you I haven't talked to you in a while!" Says Elizabeth.

"Good, I guess. It's nice to talk to you though!"

"That's good and same to you, hey I have a favor to ask of you." She says in her sweet southern accent.

"What's that?" I ask

"Well Johnnie and I are going away for the weekend for our anniversary and I was wondering if you would come and stay for the weekend and watch Skylynn? I've already asked your mom and she said she's fine with it!"she says

"I would love too! I haven't seen you guys in so long!" You say excited.

"Ok well I'll text you later and we can talk about the details, I'm pretty sure I still have your number!"

"Ok sounds good! Bye!"

"Bye sweetheart!" She says.
