Just Best Friends?

Chapter 5

"Hey girls" he says as he looks up from it.

"Hayes can we go to the movies today?" Skylynn asks her her sweet little voice.

"Well I'm not the babysitter." He says and gives me a smirk.

"We can go to the movies." I say rolling my eyes.

"Ok I gotta go get changed. Leave in 5 min?" He asks.

"Sound good" I say.

--3 min later--
Hayes comes down the stairs and boy does he look hot. He's wearing Adidas pants and a red shirt from the United Collection.

"Ok ready to go?" He asks

"Yup" sky and I reply at the same time. She lets out a little giggle. We all walk out of the house and walk to the movie theatre it's only about 6 blocks down.

--4 blocks in--
I'm walking next to Hayes with sky in front of us. When all of a sudden Hayes grabs my hand and interlocks our fingers. He looks at me and raises his eyebrow, as a way of asking if it's ok.
I just nod and continue walking. I honestly love the fact that we r holding hands, of course his hands are a lot bigger then mine.

--at the movie theater--
One child and two adults for Mall Cop 2 please. Hayes says to the man behind the counter. I grab my money from my Vera Bradley wallet and attempt to give it to Hayes. But being the gentleman he is he. Shook his head and said that he had it. We argued for about 2 min when I finally let him pay.

Then we and to the candy and sky got gummy bears, I got starburst, and Hayes got Shockers. We got Skylynn a small popcorn and Hayes and I decided to share a small.

Then we walk to theatre 4 and grab a spot in the back. Skylynn wanted to sit in the row in front of us so we let her.

We sit through the credits and I start to get a little tired so I just drink some of my lemonade to try to keep me awake.

Then finally the movie starts. Both of our hands out on the sides of our own chairs, until Hayes slowly puts his on mine. I look up at him and smile, letting him know I'm ok with it. Because I already know that's he gonna ask. That's just how he is; polite. Which I loved.

He gives me a slight smile and turns back to the movie.

About half way through the movie I notice Hayes staring at me.

"Is something wrong?" I ask and look at him, our eyes now staring at each other.

"Oh, no I'm sorry, I just," he pauses

"I just can't help it your so gorgeous." He whispers and I get chills on my back. This boy has me going crazy

I just blush in response, not really knowing what to say.

"You look cute when you blush" he says and I giggle slightly probably a little bit too loudly but I didn't care.

**skip to after movie**
"Did you like it Sky?" Hayes asks her as we begin to walk out of the movies.

"Yah, yah, yah!!" She says jumping up and down.

"Good!" I say and throw out my starburst box.

We reach the doors and Hayes holds the door for me.

"Thank you" I say with a slight smile.

"Anything for you" he says and smirks. That smirk drives me crazy inside.

We begin our walk, once again with
Skylynn in front of Hayes and I.

And again, Hayes I interlocks his fingers with mine, and gives me a sweet smile. I respond with a grin. And continue walking up the street.

**back at the Griers**
All three of us walk in the front door and Sky goes straight to the living room to play with her horses.

While she is in the living room, Hayes and I are still in the mud room. Hayes takes off his vans, and so do I. He looks at me, but this time it was different. He stares at me for a good 25 seconds and I do the same to him. We look straight into each other's eyes- enjoying the moment.

Then out of nowhere, we kissed, not for long, but it was the most passionate kiss I've ever shared with anybody.-not that I've missed that many people

After the kiss he grabbed onto my hands. And said.

"I'm sorry Emma. I should have asked you first"

"Hayes its fine." I say and and grin. Then I did something I never expected myself to do. I pulled him in for another kiss. Another passionate kiss.
After we kissed he smiled and we let go of each other's hands and walked into the living with Skylynn. Then Sky said.

"Emma, Hayes, my tummy hurts a lot."
