A Witch at School [8]

The next day........

We were sitting at the table, having a delicious and healthy breakfast, when a loud knock at the door gave us attention. When Emily opened the door, she just stood there, looking shocked. We asked her what's wrong,but she didn't answer.... what was going on? We went over to the front door and we were confused and shocked at the same time! Emily wasn't there, where did she go and who was at the front door? We were literally freaking out and didn't know what to do.

"Hey Ella?" I asked.
"Yes?" Ella replied, lowering her voice while in a horrified expression.
"Um....do you have any kind of device that you communicate with your sister?" I asked.
"Like what?" Ella replied.
"Like a mushroom phone or something?" I replied back.
"Well....not really but we have this special device to ask where Emily went," she answered.
"That could work!" I replied.
"Alright, to the attic!" Ella replied back.

As we climbed up a dusty and old ladder, we saw lots of old dusty healing books from the past, different kind of plants everywhere and other things I've never seen before.

"What is this place? It's amazing" Hazel asked, as well as being amazed.
"Well...that's not it! This is only the first part, there's more on the other side!" Ella said, as pulled down a book which seems to be a lever and it revealed a bigger and better room.

Our jaws dropped as the wall moved to each side, the bright sunlight from the other side shone as birds, butterflies, bees flew happily. As the body of water sings as the river duets within. This place is beautiful! Like it was made by a goddess! We just stood there with our jaws hanging open wide.

"That's just the entrance, there's more! Let's go!" Ella replied softly. As we stepped in, we were amazed by the plants and everything in this room, garden thing. The aroma of all scents has came all at once to my nose, best aroma ever....

As we walked along the stone path, I noticed there's lots of unique flowers on the side while bees and butterflies danced around as the wind sang with the river and bodies of water. This place is really magical and full of wonders....we walked for a few minutes and we stopped at this beautiful garden resting place.

Inside of there. There was circular, marble table with a clear crystal ball placed on its stand.

"What does this do?" Ava asked.
"Well.." Ella began to say.
"Its a crystal ball," I added.
"Yep and actually your parents sold this to us, Bianca" Ella replied.
"Wait really?" I replied back.
"Yeah, and it's supposed to help us, my parents always ask this crystal ball and helps people who's hurt," Ella said.

We surrounded the table while seem to be interested in this crystal ball that my parents sold to Ella and Emily's family. By the look on Ella's face and all the others, they were really eager to find Ella. I miss her too. But I know what I needed to do.

"Guys, don't worry! We'll find Emily soon, no matter how long it took....it's worth it," I said.
"I hope so, I missed my sister and if my parents found out about this....they will freak out! Or maybe even call the police or something," Ella replied.
"It's alright, let's see what the crystal ball has to say and we'll figure it out... Together," Allison replied back.

We hugged after my best friend said those words, it meant a lot to us. We looked back at crystal ball, hoping this is our last hope.
"Bianca?" Ella turned to me.
"Yeah?" I replied.
"Why don't you do the honours?" She asked. I looked at her, confused.
"Because you and Allison studies crystal balls, right? And after all, your parents sold it to us," She added.
"Are you sure?" I asked.

She nodded.
"But how about Allison?" I asked.
"No, Bianca. You studied crystal balls your whole life. It's time for you to show us what you've learned," Allison answered.

I nodded. I asked where is Emily, the crystal ball gave me a weird answer. First the ball was filled with black smoke, then it disappeared. Leaving us confused. Why would the crystal ball gave us that clue? It's not even a clue, it's just...smoke.

I don't know what to do, except my crystal ball.. I asked Ella if I could borrow her crystal ball for a week, she seemed to be confused at first, but eventually, she agreed. I took the crystal ball to my house after the sleepover and went up to my room to do some investigating. I took out my crystal ball and book from my drawer, I asked the crystal ball again about Emily. And neither of the balls would give me an answer, just smoke. What does it mean?

The day has past and school is back.......... Oh no, this is bad. Really bad! The next day is going to be.......bad. So the next day, I woke up super early, made myself a take-out smoothie and walked to school. The sky was just woke up, with the sun still sleeping though but with the warm colours. It was a beautiful sunrise!

After 15-20 minutes of walking, I finally arrived and the school door was already opened. When I was walking to my classroom, I constituently bumping into my teachers. They asked me about going to school early, and I just handed out my homework to them for them to mark and awkwardly walked away after I said goodbye to them. I placed my bag in my locker, grabbed my books and headed to the library instead. I thought about it, but maybe I should wait for Allison and the others came to school first and we can investigate together. I just sat in the classroom, and finally when they arrived. I dragged to the library while explaining everything in whispers, they eventually agreed to go to the library while we're outside of it. We walked inside, while the lights were off. Somebody turned on the lights for us, I believe it was Hazel and the 5 of us walked to the restricted section.

All 5 of us were scanning through the section when Hazel found something, a secret lever, disguised as a book. Clever. All of us pulled it at the same time, a doorway opened. It revealed a dark room, unlike the one in Emily and Ella's house. It has smoke coming out of the door, like the crystal balls trying to tell us.

"Is that?" Ava said.
"Smoke? Yeah," Hazel replied.
"Like..." Allison answered.
"The crystal ball showed us," I added.
"Is this where Emily is?" Ella asked.
"I don't know but we'll see," I answered.

Then one by one, we entered the dark and miserable room. Something seems wrong though, my instincts told me. I don't know..... We'll just have to see.
