Making this announcement short. Exams are done and I'll be trying to focus more on this series. If things come up, then they happen. Anyways enjoy.

The next day, Y/N yawned while looking down towards the arena. He was in combat class, studying other people's fighting styles as they fought each other. In fact, he's been in the arena only for almost the entire day. Yang was on one side while Ruby was on the other, fighting to their hearts' content.

Y/N: *smiles* They've really improved since the beginning of the school year, hell, even the first cascade of missions we've gone on. Ruby is more confident as a leader and can make more clear strategies. *sees Ruby block Yang's punch* She's also gotten better at being aware of her surroundings and when to not go in recklessly. Speaking of which.

Y/N turns to Yang who was trying to get around Ruby's scythe. She barrelled around with her bullets to try and throw Ruby off, to no avail as of yet. Yang became more concentrated and did a feint that led her to boost herself behind Ruby and get a good hit in.

Y/N: Yang has gotten wiser in fighting too. She has a better constitution and now doesn't make as many mistakes as she once did. *smiles proudly* Everyone has gotten more aware while keeping up their strength training. Of course, the one who most benefited and grew the most would have to be Jaune. When I first saw him in the forest, it was laughable that he thought he could be a hero. Now, it's not so out of reach.

Alby: *appears* God, can you please stop monologuing. I'm trying to see who's going to fall first. *gets closer to Y/N* My bet is shorty is going to lose, she's too weak in close combat and has a weaker defense than blondie over there.

Y/N: Doesn't matter since no one will be able to beat them in the tournament coming up.

Alby: *grins* Not even you~ *looks at Y/N with smug look*

Y/N: ...Almost no one.

Alby: *sigh* Well, the fight is almost over anyways. Looks like I won the bet. See ya. *disappears*

Glynda: Stop!

Y/N focuses back to the arena to see Glynda in the arena with her usual clipboard. Ruby and Yang stop, one being more beaten up and tired than the other. Y/N takes a look at the aura readings.

Y/N: Looks like Yang did win. It's expected since Ruby is two years younger and less experienced but... *looks at Ruby* I hope it doesn't break her confidence.

Glynda: Good work you two. Now, we have time for two more matches. This next match is Pyrrha Nikos versus Team CDRL. This was asked specifically by Pyrrha herself. Both sides get ready to fight.

Pyrrha: *gets up* Well, that's my cue.

Ren: Good luck.

Jaune: *smiles* You can do it.

Nora: Break his legs!

Y/N: *turns around* What's with you and your obsession with breaking legs? You even talk about it in your sleep.

Nora: It's satisfying to hear your worst enemy's bones breaking. *smiles* Plus, if you go for the legs, it will cripple them.

Blake, Jaune, Ren, Weiss, Pyrrha, and Y/N all look at Nora with blank expressions.

Nora: *notices and looks at them all, confused* What?

Y/N: *sigh* Never mind. You got this Pyrrha. I'll be watching and taking notes.

Yang: *walks up the stairs* So you haven't been taking notes on anyone else? Wow, guess we know who's your favorite~

Y/N: I've been taking notes on everyone, but Pyrrha, by far, is the only one who hasn't made much progress out of all of you. Granted, she's a great fighter, but that's all the more reason to find her flaws and help her with them.
