A taxi pulled up at a motel and two strange people in suits walked out. A woman with straight brown hair, Cha-cha and a taller man holding a briefcase, Hazel. They both walked inside the motel and towards the desk.
"Reservation for Hazel and Cha-cha." The woman sternly said to the man slouched down in his seat behind the desk.
The receptionist slowly got up and looked at the strange figures soon pulling out a door card from underneath the table. "Here you go. Room 225."
"What about the other room?" Cha-cha asked confused.
"Uhh Only one room was booked." He muttered in his tired voice.
"Dammit, I'm sick of this cost cutting bullshit." Hazel sighed raising his voice towards the end.
"Just tell me there's two beds." Cha-cha sternly asked.
"Yes ma'am." The receptionist replied. "Real firm, now uh how long do you think you'll you being staying with us?"
"Just the one night. I believe there's a package waiting for us." She responded.
The man thought for a minute before going away and returning with a large box with string wrapped around it, he placed it on the table, the woman soon took it and walked out, the taller man following.
"Okay, have a good night." The receptionist called out before the door slammed shut.
The two of them walked along the balcony and unlocked the door, stepping into the small room. Cha-cha walked over to one of the beds and placed the box down, taking out her blade and slicing the string on the box to allow it to open, while Hazel walked towards the bathroom and tried switching the light on yet it stayed dark.
Cha-cha opened the box with guns and two masks inside. "Go ahead just say it." She uttered.
"What?" The man replied, starting to walk towards the beds.
"No point keeping it bottled up, or else it'll give you heartburn, and I gotta listen to you complain about that too." She sighed.
"Smells like cat piss." He complained. "First they cut our per diem, and then our dental, and now we don't even get our own rooms. Where does it end?"
"When we retire. Or die." Cha-cha exhaled.
"Whatever comes first, but at least we're not stuck in some cubicle."
"Damn wrist is killing me." He muttered to himself. "Couldn't have made this into a damn backpack or anything." He got down on his knees and started unscrewing the bolts on the vent by the floor.
"What are you doing?"
"It's not like we're gonna use it during the job anyway." he said now screwing the nails back in after putting the suitcase in the vent.
"It's against protocol, we gotta have it with us at all times." Cha-cha argued.
"A rule written by a bureaucrat who never had to carry one." Hazel scoffed.
"They can shove their protocol up their asses, let them try lugging around the damn thing."
Hazel walked over to the middle of the beds and slid a coin into a box on the wall, making the bed vibrate, he soon lay on top of it enjoying the relaxing sensation.
"Never been after one of our own." Cha-cha spoke aloud, holding up a picture of an older Five.
"They say what happened to the first guys?"
"Liquidated." Hazel responded with vibrations in his voice.
"Dummy local hires. You get what you pay for" She murmured.
