Asumi pov:
The rustle of the leaves along with the sound of my pencil against the paper on which I was sketching was soothing. Half of the sheet in front of me was finished with the skyline of Konoha that I could see from where I sat. The weather was pleasant, warm but not with a harsh sun. I hoped that the days I spent in Konoha when I decided to settle here would be like how it was now.
"I thought I'd find you here."
Pausing sketching, I glanced over my shoulder at Genma who was approaching me with his hands in his pockets. Going back to my artwork, I said, "I've become very predictable, it seems."
Chuckling, he took a seat next to me. Glancing over what I had drawn, he said, "You still like sketching, huh? You're even better than I remember."
"Thank you for the compliment, Genma. It's just something I do every now and then. It's not a passion but merely a hobby to pass the time," I replied. "That aside, you don't have a mission today?"
"No, I'm free for the day," he said. "I was just taking a walk because I was bored. I'm glad I ran into you here."
We spent a while talking while I sketched. When we welcomed comfortable silence for a few minutes, we allowed our thoughts to wander. It was nice sitting with a friend and looking over the place we called home, even though it was yet to be a permanent home to me.
"I heard you're going to leave again in a few days," Genma said, breaking the silence.
"That's the plan, but I was considering staying for some more time."
"Do you have anything you have to take care of?" he asked.
I responded with a hum and a shrug. There was nothing I had to take care of but I did feel like spending some more time with Aunt Tsuna before I left again. The time for which I would be gone was unknown even to me, for I merely followed my heart when traveling and returned to Konoha only when I felt a strong tug for it.
We glanced to the side when an ANBU landed on the ground a few feet from where we sat. She was dressed in the signature black clothes over which was a grey vest, with weapons pouches and a katana strapped to her thigh and waist respectively. The mask she wore was that of a bear.
"Asumi san, Tsunade sama summons you," she said in a business tone.
"Alright, I'll head over to her office," I answered with a nod. The ANBU disappeared in a flash and I turned to Genma as I stood. "I'll see you around, Genma."
"Sure, Asumi. Let's have another meal together before you leave," he said.
Regarding him with a smile and a nod, I made my way to the Hokage building and up the stairs to Aunt Tsuna's office. Upon knocking and receiving permission to enter, I stepped in, only for a wide grin come upon my lips at the sight of the other person in the room.
"Jiraiya san!" I chimed and ran to him to embrace him.
