*five month time skip*
Irl

The day had finally come, after waiting five long months, today Emery and Austin would be pronounced husband and wife. Emerys nerves were growing by the second, but she didn't focus on that, she focused on the fact that in an hour her name would be Emery Butler.

The only two people that could calm Emery down weren't in the room with her, Austin was getting ready, and Florence—well she hadn't shown up. To say Emery was upset was an understatement, but she made it her mission to not let that ruin her day.

"You ready?" Emerys mom, Maria, asked. Maria could basically feel the anxiety radiating off her daughter.

"Yeah, just give me a second," Emery responded, trying to not cry. How could she not, her best friend hadn't showed up on the best day of Emerys life.

"Forget about her, Em. She doesn't deserve your tears," Lucy, Emerys sister said. Lucy had always been there for Emery, even through Emerys breakup with Thomas.

"I know, but it still hurts," Lucy gave Emery a big hug, to which Maria joined in.

"Ok, I believe a certain someone is waiting for you, sweetie!" Maria spoke, Lucy pulled away, turning off all the lights to the room. Emery walked slow, trying to memorize her vows.

"You'll be fine, now we have to go sit down-"

"Lucy? Can you walk me down the isle?" Emery asked, she'd forgotten to ask, but she didn't want to walk alone. Their dad wasn't there, he passed away a year ago—and Lucy was like Emerys twin. So it wasn't a question for who Emery wanted to walk her down.

"Of course!" Lucy hugged Emery for what felt like the millionth time that day.

"Ok I'm gonna go sit, baby, I'm so proud of you. Austin is a great guy," Maria kissed her daughters forehead, before leaving through the doors.

"You ready?"

"Yeah," Lucy interlocked their arms, before opening the doors. The cold wind hit both of their faces, as the actual wedding was being held outside.

Emerys nerves went away as soon as she made eye contact with Austin. She smiled, staring at the love of her life. She never thought she would ever marry someone, but Austin changed that.

Austin stood there, smiling like an idiot. He imagined seeing Emery in a white dress, walking down the isle many times. But he couldn't believe the person she was walking to was him.

Emery and Lucy got to Austin, where Lucy let go of her little sister before going to Maria. Austin took Emerys hands in his, before kissing one of them.

"Friends, and Family, we are gathered here today to celebrate the love that Emery Rivers and Austin Butler hold for each other..." Emery zoned the minister out, she couldn't focus on anything but Austin. But she had to focus enough to hear his vows, and then say her own.

"Now, do you, Austin Robert Butler, take the lovely Emery Rose Rivers as your lawfully wedded wife? Will you honor and cherish her; love, trust and commit to her, through joy and pain, sickness and health,  and whatever life may throw at you, until death do you part?"

"I do."
