Screaming filled the ship, stomping of feet echoing through the harsh sounds of the voice. Pleading was all that could be witnessed by your ears as you watched on, hands clasped behind your back, eyes blank for the human that was being dragged off by your very own captain. His lips had been turned into a malicious smile. She wasn't the only one screaming, yelling and crying. On your left side, there was a small group sobbing and pleading for only you to hear, hoping a woman would show remorse and help them escape. Turning to them, you looked the men and few women in their eyes one by one. They were beaten down, blood drying in the salty air all of you were exposed to, cuts stinging as drops of seawater crashed against the wood of the ship and was draped over them. It hurt, you imagined, but deep inside, you were deaf to the pleas send your way. The knife on your hip was red, coated with the blood of their comrades, other people on the ship they were sailing.

"Oh for fuck sake, shut up!" Growled Kid as once again appeared through the wooden door he had passed a few minutes ago. To his hands stuck blood from his victims, small cuts littering over his pearly white arms, painting them with streaks of red here and there. His feet stomped on the hard, wooden deck. Other crewmates laughed and jeered at the ones still alive from the other crew. With a quick sweep over the men, your supposed friends, you noticed John stood a little further away, leaning against the railing as his face turned pale. "Attract." Kid sneered, and you saw the metal from everyone and everywhere flying his way, not caring if someone was in their way. With quick fingers, you loosened your own knife before it cut its way through you, ducking out of the way for the other scraps of metal. A huge hand was formed, raised high in the air. Crewmates cheered, hollering for their captain to show those filthy marines what he was made of. 'Like he still has to.' You thought, rolling your eyes at their words. Silently, you walked away from the scene, towards the younger boy near the railing, turning his head to the side, watching the sea with him.

"Breathe in and out slowly. Turn your attention towards the sea up ahead and strain your ears to hear the calling of the seagulls, John. Don't show him you're weaker than most of the crew." You whispered, turning your head just enough to look at the cruel scene from the corner of your eyes. John's breathing sped up instead of slowing down and you knew, he would throw up soon. Your hands reached out to cover his ears out of reflex, standing behind him. The poor boy was smaller than you, leaner and thinner than you, resulting in you covering his whole presence with your body. Tears rolled down over his cheeks. "It's okay, you'll get used to it." You hushed him, leaning his head back against your chest. His eyes were closed, a whimper forced out of his chest.

A last laugh, the splat and crunches from the marines killed the screams for mercy from them. You flinched at the sounds, not helping the distressed boy in front of you the slightest. He broke down, cried and whimpered even more before you covered his lips with your hand. John was quick to throw up eventually and you send him to the sickbay, shaking your hand to get rid of most puke. "Yuck." Out of the corner of your eyes, you saw Kid had noticed your presence at the railing and not near him, like you should've been. His lips, former turned up in a smirk, curled down, sending a sneer your way. At that very moment, you knew you had fucked up in his eyes and you would have to face the consequences. Yet, as you turned your body his way, the hand with puke resting at your side, you cocked your brow at him, daring him to point you out at that very moment. The bracelet you had gotten reflected the bright sunrays to your side, illuminating the dark parts of the ship nearby with small specs of light.

Kid's gaze turned from you to the rest of his crew. "Time to feed the sharks." He yelled, walking away from deck, his first mate quick to follow him on his heel. Some crewmates looked from their captain to you. Heat shrugged his shoulders as you found his gaze between them.
