Amber eyes looked over the wide sea in front of him, a snail responder in one hand, the other clenched tightly. His teeth were gnashing as he waited. And waited. And waited. Heat was leaning over the edge of the crows nest, his hand shielding the beating sun from his eyes. Little John sat perched atop of the railing, his arm still in a sling as he, too, shielded his eyes from the sun. Killer was set to the back, thanks to Wire, who was watching the first mate, still mad about what had transpired between Killer and (y/n). Some of the crew was cleaning the deck a bit, they had encountered another ship earlier this day after all. Kid's feet thudded on the hard wood as he started to walk back and forth aimlessly.

"They're late!" His voice bellowed from the center of the ship as he growled impatiently. "Fucking Trafalgar." If looks could kill, everyone that was currently directly in front of the angry captain would've died instantly. Little John sighed as he lowered his arm, disappointed that the other captain was late as well. Ever since you were taken into captain Law's care, he had taken the blunt from Kid's anger management. John didn't like it one bit. The crew was on edge and maybe thrown over board at least once a day, before they were holstered up by one of Kid's direct underlings.

Jonathan was there when Kid had received a call from his enemy captain by accident. He had taken lunch towards Kid's workplace as he couldn't do much on board with a splintered wrist after all.

"Don't you have any patience, Eustass-ya?" The male on de other side of the conversation sounded tired, like he hadn't slept in days. "She's getting there, but she still needs lots of rest."

"I don't care how much rest she needs, she gets that over here. (y/n) belong over here, not on your cramped up ship." John had heard Kid growl back to the receiver. "She's been gone for over a month, Law. Just... bring her back to me." Kid sounded strange to John's ears, almost like he was begging for you to come back to him. Like he cares.

Law had stayed silent, probably contemplating and trying to get under Kid's skin with a quirky reply. Instead, as he spoke again, he started with a sigh. "She's traumatized beyond repair in one way or the other. Do you really want a crewmate that's as damaged as she is?" His voice was low and John hated the person for even asking such a question in the first place. How DARE he? It was (y/n) they were talking about, not just any kind of lifestock. "Eustass-ya?" Kid hummed, his face hidden by his large hand before he took a sharp intake of breath. "You'd kill her over again if you're wanting her for just some pleasure."

"The fuck are you talking about, Trafalgar?! I'm not that a sick fuck." Kid's eyes pierced into the snail responder and the small creature jerked backwards at the intense gaze he was receiving before it rolled its eyes with Law's attitude.

"She's my responsibility when she's on this ship. I'm simply speaking as her doctor."

Johnny moved forward to speak his mind right before Kid's hand grabbed his shirt and pushed him behind his larger frame, a scowl set deeply on his face. "She's mine, Trafalgar. Don't you dare get between that, because I would get her back with force if need would call for it."

Law sighed once more, probably getting a headache from Kid's yelling. The poor snail wasn't doing any better as it jerked away from Kid's face every time he opened his mouth. "Look, she thinks she failed you and you'd reject her because of her nature. At least guarantee me she'll be safe and I'll give you a date and time for me to drop her off." Oh yes, Law was getting sick of Kid and was showing it with a scowling snail himself.

Kid's eyes narrowed as he sneered at the snail. "I'm not telling you, idiot."

"Sure, be like that. I'll tell her she'll be fitting my jumpsuits after all. Goodbye, Eustass-ya."
