Byakuya was regressed, as usual, in a black long sleeve shirt and some black pants. The heir was coloring at a desk in the cg's dorm. Makoto checked the time, realizing it was 9:30. "Prince, it's time for bed" he stated. The little thought for a second, before simply replying "...no". This wasn't unusual, Kuya was always a bit fussy before transitioning into something new, especially when it was from something he loved. "Baby boy, I kn-" Makoto was cut off. "Nu uh!" Byakuya started getting upset, and the cg sighed, thinking for a moment.
The boy crouched down beside the little, "what's with the attitude, Bub?" Makoto asked in a sweet tone. "I wanna be a p'incess! Not a p'ince, nd I don' wanna be a baby boy!" Byakuya was whining, and Makoto could tell this was upsetting the little. 'Why now? He's never been upset about it before..' Makoto thought. "Okay, Princess, it's time for bed" The boy put a bit of emphasis on the pet name. Kuya smiled and let out an 'mkay' before letting the cg his little ready.

Byakuya was sleeping, and Makoto had just finished reading little red riding hood. 'I finally got him to sleep.. What was with him earlier?..' Makoto thought, before laying down and grabbing his phone to text Chihiro. It was around 9:45, so he wasn't sure if they'd answer.
(Conversation, Texting)
Koto: Hey, Chi?
Chihuahua: Hi, what's up?
Koto: Something kinda weird happened and I'm not sure what to think of it, so I want your opinion.
Chihuahua: Shoot :3
Koto: Well, I was getting Kuya ready for bed (As always) and he got really fussy when I started calling him the normal pet names (Prince and Baby boy). He wanted to be called princess and baby girl.
Chihuahua: Hmm, maybe Kuya isn't a boy? Bear with me here, but what if Byakuya is trans and wants to go by different pronouns? I could be jumping to conclusions, but you should ask!
Koto: That makes sense, I will, Thank you!
Chihuahua: Anytime!
(End of texting convo)
Makoto decided to ask Byakuya in the morning, but for now, he was going to sleep.

Byakuya was already up, dressed, teeth brushed, and at the desk doing homework when Makoto got up. "Good morning" the taller one greeted as Makoto opend his eyes. "*Yawn* Good morning" the shorter male replied, sitting up and scooting closer to the desk. "I have a question, it's kinda sudden.." Makoto started. Byakuya put the pencil down and turned to face their lover. "Yes?" Kuya replied. "So, uhm, are you a boy?" Koto asked, unsure of how he was planning to ask in the first place. His significant other sighed looking away.
"..No, I'm not. I'm female and I'd like to use She/They/Gem/Kit.. If that's alright?" Byakuya replied. Makoto was a bit shocked, "why didn't you tell me?" the boy asked, generally curious. "I don't really know. I guess I just wasn't ready?" kit responded, in a quiet but not timid voice. Makoto nodded, he understood. Well, kind of, he wasn't a hundred percent sure what his lover was scared of, but it didn't really matter as long as Kuya was happy.
Makoto loved gem no matter what.
