Helena's Pov
Days down here felt almost like an abnormal blur. If I wasn't sleep, I was in the the large library of so many books. It truly didn't come to a shock that Stolas was a little book worm, any sort of book you wanted information plants, all the way through astrology all on earth. I never let many know but books were a major soft spot for me. A bed was a safe space, but put me in a chair in the corner of a dark library and I'll be there for hours.

My eyes shifted across the words of the large book with ease, lifting my eyebrow a little in intrigue. So many book of spells, I shouldn't be shocked when Octavia and even Stolas walk around with their cups floating around in front of them in a sense it was a magical place at best.

The whole Goetia  family was a long line of power in the stars with so many sons and daughters. The sudden loud presence of someone entering near where I was had me peering over the edge of the book, visually relaxing at the sight of the teen briefly speaking to her going back to reading.

"Hello Octavia." I could hear her jumping in place for a moment, a heavy sigh leaving her beak as she scratched her claws slightly at her neck.

"Ugh- Hello there Helena still here?" I sent her a light head nod bouncing my leg a couple times long before shifting my legs so that they hung over the arm rest of the arm chair.

"I'm not totally prepared to go back home yet. Seeing as that ritual accidentally brought me here." A light scoff of a sound was heard before the angsty teen was chuckling plopping into the chair with a grunt.

"That's because you are bonded to my father. Even if you wanted to go home. He would have to be around you at all times." As quickly as I could I shut the large book, placing it to the side focusing on her features while she set her phone down yanking each headphone out for me to listen to her.

"Explain please?" I gestured rolling my wrist a couple times a heavy sigh left her rolling her eyes up to face the ceiling. They glowed a dull red for a moment before she spoke in a bored tone.

"I thought every human knew this, okay so if like you summon a deity or like demons it's always comes with a price some take like your virtue.  Some actually require like a soul that's why ritual work isn't for the faint of heart. You aren't just doing it for fun." A nervous laugh left me, rubbing my sweaty palm over my temple a couples times.

"Right.. right deals and such are made. How do I have one with your father?" She sighed once more tapping her claws over and over against the harsh wood of the table continuing.

"In my father's favor, his price is being bonded to you. I would have suspected he noticed sooner rather than later. I mean his relationship with my mother is already in the shitter." Her accent was coming out way more heavier as she spoke dismissal she placed her clawed hand over her feathered cheek in thought.

"I have to agree it's a little interesting I've only ever heard about humans from dad's book. He has a spell book only he has learned that allows him connection to the human world. He mainly uses it to study the stars and prophecies it could be that's how he met you wrong time, right annoying human." I shot her a blank like stare speaking casually with some soft laughter shaking my head quickly.

"Trust me on earth we don't have human sized owl birds who talk walking around." It as now her turn to send me a glare leaving me shaking with my own snickers sighing vs one the large high ceiling studying all the beautiful patterns in place.

"It's strange your father is a very sweet person. I can tell he cares very much for you and to insure that your home life is okay. Of course you are a seventeen years old who has angsty thoughts." She huffed a little folding her arms looking at me as she spoke quickly.

"What about you? You seem young around me age." The amusement I found was real nuzzling my head into the arm chair more keeping my eyes shut speaking with ease.

"I'm twenty still relatively young, but legally can't buy alcohol." A soothing silence had fallen between us two and for once around her it didn't feel like she was gonna gouge my eyes out with a knife every time she saw me. This family truly had many secrets all within themselves.
