"Stop fucking playing wit me mane, you know good and damn well you ain't see him." Shèyaa spoke as he walked alongside Tione. The two were getting ready to head home after a long, exhausting day of school. Tione rolled his eyes.
"Ain't nobody playing around, I swear I seen him, I was on my way to the bathroom and he was walking down the hall. He must've been skipping."
"I just don't know if I believe it, I feel like—" Tione stopped in his tracks and grabbed him by the arm before pointing to someone in the distance. "Nick?" Tione nodded.
"Now do you believe me?" Upon seeing him, Shèyaa felt a rush of emotions, he wasn't sure how to react. He was quick to shove Tione to the side and walk toward him. "Woah hold up, where are you going?" Shèyaa turned to face him.
"To talk to Nick, the fuck do it look like?" He answered in a snarky manner. "Why do it matter to you anyways?" Tione sighed.
"I was just asking a question, damn." He responded. "Ion think you should be tryna talk to him anyways, you remember what his friend said?" Shèyaa couldn't care less. The threats made by Nick's friend didn't seem to phase him in the slightest.
"He ain't gone do a damn thing—you know what? Why don't you just shut the fuck up and just let me talk to Nick. You starting to piss me off." Tione was starting to get fed up with Shèyaa's irrational behavior, what did he even do in the first place?
"Ight fine, go ahead but if you get yourself into some shit don't ask me to help. That's on you." He replied. "Look I'ma head out, Ion got time to be waiting for you I got places to be. Just tell me how it went tomorrow." With that, he made his way to his car and drove off, leaving Shèyaa to talk to Nick.
"Fucking bitch." He mumbled bitterly before approaching him. "Hey!" Shèyaa called out, making Nick turn his attention to him.
"Oh, um hey I guess." Nick greeted him awkwardly. "Why exactly are you talking to me? Isn't it obvious that I want nothing to do wit you?"
"I mean yeah but I'm tryna fix things and you not giving me a chance, how am I supposed to make things right if you ignoring me and shit?"
"You can do the bare minimum and leave me the fuck alone like I asked." Nick sassed while pushing passed him. "I'm not in the mood to argue wit you today, just leave me alone."
"Well wouldn't nobody be arguing if you'd just stop being difficult and talk to me." Shèyaa retorted. "First you wanna get yo funky ass friend on me and now you catching an attitude wit me?"
"Huh?" Nick questioned, a puzzled expression upon his face. "I didn't get my friend on you, which friend? Ion even know what you're talking about." He truly didn't. Nick wasn't aware of the events from the previous day however, Shèyaa found that hard to believe. He was convinced Nick had something to do with it.
"So you're telling me that yo friend embarrassed me in front of the whole damn lunch room over some shit you said to him and you had nothing to do with it?" Nick didn't bother to answer the question and walked away from him instead which prompted Shèyaa to follow. "Answer the question."
"Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying now can you answer mine? Who are you even talking about and what's going on?"
"I believe his name was Taurus or sum like that anyways, he approached me and Tione at lunch talking bout I was disrespecting you. Then we got into it and he said the next time I bothered you he'd beat my ass." Shèyaa recounted.
"Well I had nothing to do with that. I wouldn't have told him to go and embarrass you, I could've done that myself."
"You really expect me to believe that shit? I know you had sum to do wit it and you can't tell me otherwise."
"I really didn't, sure I've vented to him a lil bit but these past few days I've really been tryna keep to myself." Nick protested. "You starting to make me upset and I just wanna get home so can you go away."
"I'm not going any fucking where! You got this bitch to harass me and you really expect for me to just let you get away wit that? Ion take that disrespect from nobody!"
"I don't really wanna talk to you right now." Nick responded. "If you have an issue wit what he said why not just take it up wit him? Ion got nun to do wit it. Just leave me alone." Nick walked a bit faster only to be grabbed by Shèyaa.
"Remember I know where you live hoe, keep playing wit me." Shèyaa spat, sending shivers down Nick's spine. He had never seen this side of Shèyaa before.
"Um what? What exactly is that supposed to mean?" He asked before snatching his arm back.
