"Shèy, you'll be alright. Ain't no reason to be upset over some dumb shit." Tione tried his best to comfort Shèyaa as the two had lunch together.
"You don't understand, this isn't just some 'dumb shit.'" He replied, using air quotes. "He hit me in my fucking face. I ain't even get a chance to really talk to him." Tione took a sip of his drink before responding.
"In your face? How come you ain't tell me that before?" He questioned, a bit shocked by Nick's actions. "So you're telling me that he just hit you outta no where?" Shèyaa nodded his head.
"I'm not sure what his deal was but yeah, he opened the door and just...hit me. I couldn't believe it like, what the fuck is his problem? I ain't ever done no disrespectful shit like that to him before." He recalled bitterly. "I was only tryna talk to him then he decided to slap me."
"Like I told you before, you should just move on and find someone else at this point especially if he putting his hands on you. That's crossing the fucking line. I'd be damned if I let some bitch put his hands on me." Tione responded. "You giving him all these chances for what? You could've been wit someone else right now if you wasn't wasting all this time on him."
"But that's the thing, Ion want nobody else mane. I want him, that's my baby. He might be mad at me right now but watch, he'll come back eventually."
"But he hit you, why the fuck would you wanna be wit someone like that?" Out the corner of his eye, Tione noticed someone from a nearby table approaching them. "Um Shèyaa, you know him or sum?" Shèyaa gave him a puzzled expression.
"Know who? What are you talking about?" Before Tione even had the chance to explain himself, the male interrupted the two.
"You need sum? The fuck is you at our table for?" Tione questioned aggressively, causing the individual to roll his eyes.
"Calm the fuck down, I ain't even over here for you!" He snapped before turning his attention to Shèyaa. "So you that motherfucker that was disrespecting my friend?"
"Huh? Who? I don't even know who you're talking about."
"Don't play dumb wit me cus I'm not the one to be playing games wit, you know exactly who I'm talking about." Shèyaa shrugged his shoulders out of genuine confusion.
"Maybe I'd know if you'd tell me instead of speaking in riddles and shit. Who are you talking about and what exactly have I done to them?" He asked.
"You went over to his house acting a damn fool cus he didn't wanna be wit you. Now do you understand who I'm talking about?"
"Hold on, hold on, how the fuck do you know bout that? That ain't none of yo damn business." Shèyaa replied. "What you over here being nosy for anyways? Worry bout yourself."
"It is my business when you got him over here upset and crying, talking bout he wants to beat the shit outta you." He argued. "I ain't ever seen him so upset before."
"You don't even know what happened, he hit me! You over here defending him but you don't even know the full story!" Shèyaa rebutted, his sudden change of tone causing others to look in their direction. "He didn't even let me talk, I tried to explain myself to him and apologize! I even told him I was gonna change for him but that wasn't enough!"
"It's not enough cus you know that you're never gone change! Nick wasn't born yesterday, he knows that you won't do half the shit you promised and he's tired of being lied to!" The other spat, matching Shèyaa's energy. "You acting real immature right now, if you was really sorry you would've left right when he asked you to! You wouldn't have continued to beat on his door and bother him! Maybe if you would've left he wouldn't have slapped you!"
"Who the fuck are you to be putting your lips in business that don't belong to you?"
"Taurus bitch, go ask bout me!"Whispers could be heard as others watched in amusement. "I wouldn't have even gotten involved if you would've just stopped being immature and got yo shit together! You a whole grown ass man still doing this childish ass shit!"
"Mane, fuck out out my face wit that bullshit. You don't even know what you talking about."
"Keep saying that shit, it don't change a damn thing. "What you did was fucked up, you know that?" Both Tione and Shèyaa grew quiet in embarrassment. "Oh don't get all quiet know bitch, keep talking!"
"Can you just...go away. I don't wanna talk to you no more."
"Ight fine, but the next time I hear that you've done sum to Nick I'm gone go and find you my damn self and beat the fuck outta you." Taurus threatened. "Leave him alone."
"If we being real, he should've gotten his ass beat a long time ago." Someone spoke in the distance, resulting in Shèyaa glaring in the direction of the voice.
"Okay cool, I won't bother him. Now please go away and leave us alone." Taurus nodded and headed back to his table. Shèyaa turned to Tione. "What the fuck?" Tione was just as baffled as Shèyaa was.
"I didn't know he was gone get his friends on us." Tione responded. "What are you gonna do now? It's clear that Nick wants to be left alone, are you still gonna chase after him?" Shèyaa shook his head.
"I'ma do whatever it takes to get him back, fuck what his lil friend was talking bout. His threats won't stop me."
