Dating was a lot for Jisung to adjust to at first. Sure, he was okay with the bits and pieces of affection like holding hands or cuddling on the sofa together but he only felt comfortable when they were alone in their apartment. Whenever one of their friends were over, no matter who it was, Jisung found so many different ways to sit as far away from his own boyfriend as possible. It was almost admirable how surprisingly good he was at doing something so trivial.

Hyunjin was admittedly somewhat let down by his own boyfriend's embarrassment about... Well dating him really. It just kind of hurt even though he knew that Jisung was just awkward and, in Jeongin's words, "a newly awakened one, the dormant gay goblin that hast finally arose from its slumber... Oonga boonga, oonga boonga".

Unfortunately that was word for word as much as Hyunjin really wished it wasn't.

He sighed and decided that if Jisung wasn't going to address the issue with them being close in front of other people, despite being willing to publicly walk around hand-in-hand, then he would just have to bring it up himself. It was around 6pm so his squirrelly boy was probably cooped up in his room playing some online game with Felix and an unwilling Changbin. Without much hesitation, Hyunjin headed out of the living room and loudly knocked on Jisung's bedroom door.

They weren't comfortable enough to share a bed yet and the rooms weren't exactly big enough to squeeze in two so they still slept separately. Honestly, Hyunjin is quite happy about that fact for now since he knew he would be gay panicking or rather he would instead be gay malfunction-system-shutdown-ing every single night. It wasn't his fault that his boyfriend was literal perfection in his eyes!

"Hyung?! If that's you, then come in, I'm in a boss fight!" Jisung hollered and Hyunjin rolled his eyes knowing exactly what game the other was playing. While he wasn't sure what it was called, he knew it was some gacha anime-style game that Felix had been obsessing over and unfortunately had dragged Jisung into playing too.

He opened the door and threw himself dramatically onto his boyfriend's bed with a small squeak. Yeah, he forgot that Jisung liked having a super firm mattress. It felt like jumping onto pure concrete. Definitely a good thing they weren't sharing a bed yet, mattress shopping would be a nightmare.

For a good while, Hyunjin lounged on the bed, tossing and turning while scrolling through his phone, occasionally whining at his boyfriend to quiet down when he yelled into his mic. Poor Felix on the other end was probably going to go deaf from that screeching.

Eventually, Jisung said his goodbyes to Felix and logged off his game, leaving it on the main menu as he took off his head phones. Hyunjin looked up and put his phone aside, very thankful for his own decision to move the precious device as Jisung flopped right on top of him with a huff. Needless to say, Hyunjin would not be surprised if he popped a lung again. Literally.

"What did you want, hyung?" Jisung mumbled, cuddling up with a faint smile on his lips. It was absolutely unfair how downright adorable this boy was, if Hyunjin wasn't already dating him then he would definitely be buying all the flowers he could and groveling on his knees for just one date.

"Hmm... I like when you're cuddly." Hyunjin said, gently threading his fingers through Jisung's hair. It was something he had come to learn that his boyfriend really liked which only made him that much cuter. "I wish you were like this all the time, not just when we're alone."

"Oh... That's what you wanted to talk about..." Jisung sighed, getting up and scooting to the foot of the bed away form Hyunjin. He was pouting and Hyunjin slowly sat up, hoping he hadn't made Jisung uncomfortable. "I'll be honest, I don't know why but it feels weird to be like that with you. I don't care when strangers see or when it's just us, it's only with our friends that I just get all icky about it."

"Well, our friends as gay as tumblr so I don't see the problem. We're all in the same boat, Sung. It's not like they're hets."

"... I know but it's just embarrassing, I don't know why but it is!" Jisung sighed. "I really like you but I really feel nervous when our friends are around and can see us doing couple-y stuff... It doesn't mean I love you any less, I just—"

"Han Jisung! Did you just say the L word?!" Hyunjin squealed, his volume already rivaling Jisung's when he was playing his game earlier. He awkwardly waddled across the bed on his knees, swing his arms with a dramatic flare to fling himself into his boyfriend's arms. He squeezed the life out of the younger, all whilst squealing like a child high on sugar. "Oh my gosh! I LOVE YOU TOO, HAN JISUNG! HWANG HYUNJIN LOVES YOU SO MUCH TOO AH YOU'RE SO HANDSOME AND SWEET—"

"Hyung!" Jisung whined, pouting as he covered his ears a failed attempt to block out the noise of his boyfriend being loud and dramatic as usual. He was bright red.

"Seriously though, Jisung... I love you too." Hyunjin said with a bright smile. "You shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable when others are around. We used to throw dirty socks at each other even when friends were over and I think that's more embarrassing than hugging, right?"

Jisung was stumped at that one, simply giving a weak sigh and nod of agreement. There wasn't really a way to deny that after all.

"I guess you're right..."

"See!" Hyunjin exclaimed, clapping his hands together, joyed to have gotten his point across to his admittedly brick-headed boyfriend. He was going to offer Jisung a movie marathon with plenty of cuddles before his phone buzzed, thinking it was an email from his lecturer, be quickly checked. It wasn't but it might as well have been since Chan had texted, asking if he, his boyfriend and Changbin and Felix could drop by for a little while. He shot them a quick reply back, saying they could. "Chan and some others are coming over, wanna set up the living room for a movie sesh?"

"Sure... As long as you don't manage to fuck up the microwavable popcorn again."

"That was one time, Han Jisung!"

"One time that I still remember very clearly!"

"I won't do it again... It wasn't my fault our microwave was trying to spite me." Hyunjin huffed as he got up and dragged himself into the kitchen as Jisung did to the living room instead.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever."

"Don't break the DVD player—"

"Hyung!"

"What? I thought we were just giving each other friendly reminders?" Hyunjin remarked with a playful smile as he pulled out three bags of popcorn, two microwavable ones and the other a predone caramel popcorn bag they bought on discount literally yesterday because Jisung was impulsive when it came to food.

"I hate you sometimes."

"Aww! I love you too, Han Jisung!! The best boyfriend in the world is in my living room!! Ah, what a lucky man I am!!"

"Hyung I am two seconds away from turning you into the DVD player, I swear."
