All sorts of stories from Wattpad are being illegally stolen and posted on other websites without any permission. Yes, you might write in a crevice of the site, but when those are stolen, it's harder to reclaim them, because there aren't as many readers to step up as some of the bigger, higher-ranked novels.
Any authors reading this should consider this question: Are you writing as a hobby, or a future career? Do you want to take writing as a job?
If you want to be serious with your novels, don't hold too tight to the stories you have published here. Your writing will eventually rise up in ranks and attract more attention: For the better or the worse. It means more chance that people will try to steal it.
I'm not saying you shouldn't publish stories here. I'm saying that if you want to seriously copyright your story, you should become a published athor. You can do it! If you're too young to start it all on your own, talk to your parents about trusted writing websites.
I've been using NaNoWriMo for a bit, which has better copyright rules and more official. It gives you opportunities for printing your books at a company, even!
If you think you're not ready to make that move yet, feel free to stay on Wattpad. I'm just saying that Wattpad isn't very good for a career. It's good for practicing your writing skills to your best, though. Wattpad is a good place to start writing. You have peer motivation, and direct feedback from your readers. It's an awesome clash of social media and writing.
Anyway, that's all I wanted to say.
